  1. I Love this Arthur; it’s kind of meditative to look at.

btw, the images are so clear. Are you using a HD camcorder?

    5 stars my friend.

  5. I was just watching and wondering how you dont have cats! I have two cats and when I lived in our house, I had a couple of bird feeders, always had to watch that the birds where safe from the cats. Lovely video, I love bird watching and this is such a peaceful pastime.

I stopped filling my feeder this summer when the squirrels ruined the plants under the feeder, and a large flock of pigeons started coming everyday.
    Thanks for watching!

I have a lot of wide shot photos of the yard. I’ll post something within the next few weeks, especially for my Favorite comment stalker! LOL

When my cat was alive, she loved to stalk the feeder. Although de-clawed and being an “old lady”, she managed to catch a bird occasionally. Actually, I have seen more birds attacked in my yard from hawks than cats. I use the word “seen” loosely, as it usually happens too fast to be seen.

Thanks for watching. I hope to post more of the feeder throughout the winter, at least when I see different types of birds there.

  13. Oh thank you. At my old house, we had rats come to the feeders. Not just one or two either. Gross. I look forward to seeing the yard.

Oh no, that thingy is stealing the bird food!!! Yeah, squirrel. I wish we had pretty birdies like you do!! What is the one with the black and white stripes? Fighting in midair? Some sort of finch?

The ones fighting are goldfinches. I love them, of course they look more yellow than the video shows.
It’s a so-called squirrel proof bird feeder! YES, the squirrel has figured out how to get seed from the feeder!

Arthur, when Rosie had her own show, she was obsessed about the squirrels stealing the birdfood and got one of those. Apparently it didn’t work for her either lol. She learned to eventually like the squirrels and now feeds them instead. I wish we had squirrels. They are so damned cute!

  20. Wonderful vid! I moved my feeders closer to the doors yesterday; so I won’t have to trod too far in the snow to fill them. And ugh at the thought of snow! :)

  21. Is that a Starling? Hmm, interesting. Here in the Catskills I haven’t seen that one bird, we have a totally difference climate then you down staters. You guys have a subtropical climate, which I’m glad is confined mostly to your region. We got most of those birds, Morning Doves, some Gold Finches, Chickadees. I had a Morning Dove fly right on my back, it was pretty cool, and a chickadee flew right on my hand. I love the birdies.
