My wife has a pair of canaries and the hen has laid a egg in the feed dish and incubating. If this egg hatches will the baby bird be ok in the dish or should I try to move it to another nest?

It’ll be ok. I disposed of my canaries egg and gave her a smaller feed dish and a more secluded nest which she promptly laid 6 eggs in instead of one. You might want to try the same thing. They will lay again if you take away the egg…
I placed a small fake plant in their cage and set the nest behind it. She’s very content with it now.

Best to remove the egg to a commercial canary nest so she can safetly continue to lay eggs.
It cannot remain in a feed dish.
