    Crickets, for the most part, are harmless creatures. Crickets breakdown plant material, renewing soil minerals. They are also an important source of food for other animals. Unless your yard is just overrun with crickets, I’d leave them alone. Your wild birds will thank you.

  2. Crickets are good insects and the birds will actually eat them…if you kill the crickets, you will have less birds in your area.

    They are also considered good luck or good fortune in some cultures.
