Well its a fair distance from Wales, where theres loads of kites, btw do you know if there are any red kites in or near the west midlands? I live in stoke on trent
Fantastic, you have had a lot more luck than me. I can get them to come in occasionally but they are so unpredictable! What’s your secret? Is that chicken they are eating? Even though it’s not exactly an easy fly in/out they seem more than happy to do it.
Very cool! Such lovely birds! We used to live on the outskirts of Montreal, where the niger seed feeder for chickadees, finches etc. would sometimes become a chickadee feeder for merlins, which would be gruesomely fascinating, but we never got any show as spectacular as this!
thats awesome!! i am a wildlife photographer and have yet to capture red kites! you are soooo lucky to have them feeding in your garden!!! amazing raptors!
I have seen these birds right at the end of The Chilterns, Pegsdon Hills near Hitchin and they are appearing to be moving east- and undoubtedly the gamekeepers guns are twitching, as is their hands towards the tins marked Poison…..
Where about is your garden? Its amazing how such a large bird can fly down and be so agile in such a small area.
