Sadly, no, the crop will not heal itself.
I deal with this in wild birds that are rescued.
You need to take the baby to the vet to have the neck stitched up after the damaged tissue is removed. There are three separate layers of skin that need to be reconnected.
If you let it go, it will rot and bacteria will form and gradually kill the bird unless it starves to death first.
If the leak is not too severe, the vet may use a tissue glue instead of stitches.
Sorry.

that really sucks, i hope that you learned form this situation and Supervise your children during feeding time, not only was the formula too hot and the bird does feel pain, but your kid could have accidentally choked the bird by not feeding correctly.. Get to the vet asap.. you know if it was your child you would be at the hospital…

You need to go to the vet immediately! The baby might not live if you don’t. The crop will not repair itself. The vet needs to stitch up the neck. Possibly cut out the damaged tissue that was burned. Your child must feel horrible. I hope you are able to save the baby.
Good luck!

You let a NINE year old feed a baby bird? Sorry, for one that is stupid, and you should breed birds. Second no the crop won’t heal, and he is slowly dieing and suffering because of your stupid-ness. Take him/her to a vet ASAP
