Snails in small garden?

I have a very small walled garden containing only lawn. When it rained the other day I noticed thousands of baby snails climbing the walls and on my verandah. How can I get rid of them without putting down any poisons, as I have small birds feeding there daily. Please help. I also notice slugs appearing on the walls at night, but they are not many (yet).

  1. I have the same issue and I shake salt all over the wall and affected area, You’ll get rid of the snails and slugs without hurting anything else.

  2. put down a pie plate filled with beer. The slugs and snails will go into the plate and drown. Don’t use salt if it is around plants.

  3. you can spread salt all over…

    or

take a small cup and bury it almost to the top.. leave about 1/2 of an inch sticking up… pour beer in the cup… about 1/2 way up… place 2 or 3 like this all over the garden before you go to bed at night.. in the morning.. you’ll have 1000 of dead snails they love beer… but the beer kills them…

you can also get snail killer at home depot and spread it around they will eat that as well
