This probably seems a really silly question, but which way do i put the concave in our birds nest box next year. Obviously with the dip facing up but where exactly does the dip go ? by the small hole mum goes in and out of or by the flap that i will look through. I am worried the chicks might fall out or get trodden on by mum.
Every nest box I have seen the dip is in the middle. The door way should be to high for them to fall out of.

The concave goes farthest away from the opening so they’re out of he way of the draft.
