  1. Growing Feathers

You can also buy small sheds already made,

Look online for used sheds in great condition!

    From only $100 to $600

Just make sure the shed has windows for lots of sunlight, then add sticks, perches, nesting boxe’s ect.. you can also add an outdoor avairy/cage area to make the runts more happy, use shavings for the bottom of the shed and it should be easy to rake up and clean but clean it every week to keep the birds healthy, go to auctions ect.. where you can buy huge bags of wood shavings. Most sheds are very strong but make sure you test it first by leaving chicken ect.. inside the shed at night.. if the food is still there in the mourning that means it’s very safe for your birds. Good luck!

I also forgot to mention, if you don’t want to add an outdoor area to the shed you can always clip the runts wings (since there too big to fly properly anyway) then take them outside yourself for fresh air once in a while, with there wings clipped it will be more easy and safe to catch them.. but watch them every minute outside!

  2. Unlike thier name implies runts are huge birds. Plan about 2 sq ft per bird ground area inside the loft structure. More would be better because they tend to reproduce. lime is not good. use paint to seal the pores of the wood to prevent bugs from hiding in the wood. pine needles make good bedding. pine shavings will work. Sand works well if you rake the poop once a day and add new sand every so often. Sunshine is a great medication, have plenty of south facing windows if your in the northern hemisphere. #1 keep it dry. #2 keep the drafts down. #3 have fun with your new birds.
