<description>Must let mother nature take its course. You do not have the ability to care for and raise these wild birds. They might not have fell from the nest.Maybe the mother dropped them cause she sensed something was not right with them, hence protecting the species by not releasing bad genes into the pool.

<description>Pretty much anything is safe for budgies with a selected few that are toxic.

Avocado, chocolate and rhubarb are toxic. There&#039;s some argument about onions and garlic as it&#039;s said to lead to anemia in dogs and cats. However many of these restrictions haven&#039;t been proven on birds. Yet. Spinach in huge quantities will affect calcium absorption but is otherwise safe.

Safe foods include carrots, apples, oranges, grapefruit, blueberry, cherries, saskatoons, raspberries, blackberries, beans, peas, Kale, spinach, most lettuce such as romanine (Iceberg is rather nutrient poor), and most herbs. Herbs include rosemary, summer savory, mint, catnip, sage, basil and lemon balm. Tofu is another bird safe food though it&#039;s best in limited quantities. Even Soy milk is good as long as there&#039;s no chocolate in it ^.^

Some non fruits and veggies that are safe include chicken, tuna, turkey, and even ground beef. `

Hope that helps. Good luck!

<description>Put the baby back where the mother is feeding the other one.
Just touching the bird is not going to keep the mother from feeding it. If the baby bird is where the other one is, then the mother will feed it unless it is injured. If you can secure the next back up and put both birds back in it, then that would be better.
If all this is impossible then you can feed the bird small pieces of dog food soaked in water. I raised an abandoned nest of sparrows that way. This is not the ideal situaiton. The Ideal one is to get the mother to feed it.

<description>I have a number of feeders positioned around the yard. Both the bluejays and the cardinals seem to prefer the ground feeder as opposed to the hanging feeder. They go crazy over black sunflower seeds (not the striped ones), and peanuts. The bluejays will take the peanuts in or out of the shells, but the cardinals will only take them if they are out of the shells.

In the spring and early summer, when they are feeding nestlings and fledglings, both the cardinals and the blue jays will take grapes. I have never seen them on our log-style suet feeders, but I do often see the blue jays underneath those feeders, gathering up anything the other birds have dropped.

And just the other day, one of the blue jays surprised me by going to the jelly feeder we have for the orioles, and flying off with a beakful of grape jelly!
