How often do they need to be fed?? 10 pts best answer?

I have 3 pacific parrotlets babies, I have decided to take them out of the nesting box at 3 weeks to handfeed them so when it is time to find them homes they will be tame. So my questions are, when do I start introducing them to normal bird food, and how often do they need to be hand-fed at 3 weeks? Any advice will help..thanks!
The reason I ask is that I go to school 3 hours a day 5 days a week, and if they need to be fed like ever 2 hours or something I will just wait untill they are even older to take the out

zebra finch advice please answer?

iv had a zebra finch(male) since march when i took him on cause his mate died and his owner want it to keep my siskin(a rescue bird) company, so i took him on. I have now taken on a female zebra who i found outside, she and my male have paired up, well i think they have. My male had a nest that he came with that had all the nesting material that was in it when he was with his old partner, and he was very protective of his nest. i took the advice that i got from a question i post recently, which was to remove all the nesting material from his nest an clean it so that he would allow the female to share his nest and hopefully begin to breed. he now allows her in the nest but he isnt building a nest hes just useing the nest box when he goes to bed at night. will he start to make a nest or will he just forget about it? i have put hay in the cage but he is still showing no intrest at all. any help will be great and any tips to get them to breed will be great!! thnks a lot

if she did lay eggs in the nest box but the male didnt make a nest will her eggs survive and hatch or does the male need to make a nest. when i put the female in at first the male mated her but they havent done it since (that i have seen) and he mated her on tuesday and there arent any eggs so i guess it wasnt sucessful.

Found a speckled bird egg, Need some advice on how to tell its still alive. Also ANY INFO that could be helpfu

I found a speckled brown and white egg on the ground. There was no nest in sight, so I’ve had it under a lamp and in a box with washcloths for about a day. I can’t tell if its alive or not. I turn it every few hours though. It would be helpful if i could get some advice on what i should do…Including if its alive…..

Advice on this, please help!?

Been wanting to attract pigeons into building a nest on the balcony of the town house I live in heard one out near the balcony today! went out to look and sure enough there was a male pigeon on the roof! he stood there and looked at me long enough for me to say hello before taking off. I put out some bird seed and hope he’ll come back, (maybe with a mate) there’s a section of the roof that sort of drops down, there’s also a metal panel that underneath which I’m guessing is for draining rain off the roof. Doubt it’s the best place to build a nest

Think I should put one of the wine crates out on the balcony and try to get them to use that?

It seems he’s selected that part of the roof as a nesting spot since this the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve heard a pigeon on that spot.

The crates were used to ship/hold wine and are unstained wood. The ends of the box are 6 1/2 inches tall and the sides are 19 1/2 iches long. No slits on the sides or ends, it’s all solid wood.

Would like advice!

what are the do’s and donts of these beautiful birds? about what to feed them and when to give treats.

mean birds..advice please?

i have two pacific parrotlets, they have been mating alot so i put a nesting box in…and they have gotten really mean…like attacking people who walk by the cage…and there isnt any eggs in there or anything. they have never been nice birds tho so it wasn’t that big of a change. my questions are, is there a way to tell if they are going to lay eggs, and is it still okay to sell the birds if they are? any advice will help thanks
and no i don’t want to breed them..if they do lay eggs i plan on throwing them out..the birds are siblings, so the chicks would have problems any ways..but my other question is would it be okay to sell them when they are in the middle of possibley laying eggs or would that be traumatic for them?
and i am educated about birds, i put the box in because i was told to do so because or eles they would keep laying eggs..and throwing the eggs away woudnt kill the chick..because the birds are brother and sister, so the eggs wouldnt be fertile anyways…jeesh!!!
