Baby bird, what should I do?

I found a baby dove that fell out of its nest. What should I do? naturally i should take it to a rescue center however I have no numbers or areas that I know of where to take it. I’m in Los Angeles, CA and I have no clue where to take it. It’s been without a mother or anything for about three days now; I guess it was in my apartment Stairwell for several days, somebody just told me about it, and so I have it in a little box, I’ve been trying to give it SOMETHING to eat and drink, and I just want some information if anybody can provide me with some. THANKS!
I wasn’t planning on keeping it… I do understand how it could come across as that. It isn’t fully feathered; it’s growing up stuff on its head already. It was found in the stairway of my apartment and there’s no nest to be found; the neighbors and I have searched. i just wanted to know what to do until I can get to a wildlife rescue place, because I don’t want it to die :( Anything to help it out until I can get to it tomorrow. Thank you.

Why do squirrels not eat at night?

Just curious, but I put out food and water for the squirrels on my apartment balcony. I live on the 3rd floor and they jump over from a hanging tree branch and munch away from sun up to sun down, but I never see one stop by when it’s dark.

Where do they go at night? and they don’t eat at night?

The reason I’m confused is because I know that other similar animals like apossums, racoons, skunks and such are always seen more after dark than in the daytime, so I figure that is when they come out in search of food.

So, are my squirrels just so well fed that they don’t have to bother?? LOL

Also, am I hurting the squirrels by feeding them? They aren’t tame and they would never come up to me, but I do sit in my living room and watch them throughout the day stop by and have their fill of peanuts, corn, sunflower seeds, and bird seeds…..and water too. It’s so cute to see them drinking out of the water dish….lol.

Thanks for any info you have.

Bird Feeding Chicks in Nest on Fire Escape in San Francisco

A bird feeds two chicks in a nest built in an empty pot on a fire escape outside an apartment window in the Nob Hill neighborhood of San Francisco.

i want the birds to stop nesting on top of my fire alarms and dryer vents, however it must look good?

I do maintenance at an apartment complex and this has become a project, I tried building boxes uses finish trim pieces and 2 x 4′s, but these mud swallows are so persistent and protected so it has to be humane and like I said most importanly still look good.

how to make birds stop bombing my car?

I live in an apartment not many places to park, and it cost money to rent a garage. My old neighbor loves to feed the birds and talk to them there her friends.

I swear out of all the other cars the birds always aims for my poor car, which means I have to go to the car wash alot any help will be appreciated.

What kind of commitment is involved in purchasing a macaw?

I have loved macaws since I was a little girl. I’m 20 now, and getting ready to get married and move to Boston. I would eventually like to buy a macaw, but I was wondering exactly what I’ll need for taking care of the bird. How big would the cage be, will I need to wait until I live in a house vs. an apartment, what do I feed it, does it need exercise, etc.

I have been feeding a bird for almost a year and it suddenly vanished two days ago…wondering why?

My girlfriend and I started feeding a bird (we think it’s a white pigeon, but not totally sure) that showed up at our apartment last May and it has been with us ever since (living out on our balcony). But on Sunday it disappeared. We’re both pretty sad about this, but is it possible the bird moved on? We have seen it literally everyday since it randomly showed up almost a year ago and now suddenly it’s gone without a trace. I know next to nothing about birds (other than feeding them), so I’m just stumped as to why our little friend suddenly vanished. And I don’t think anyone would have harmed him, as all of our neighbors were quite fond of him too.
