Sick love bird, that died? any ideas, i dont want my other ones getting sick. (Symptoms listed below)?

she lost alot of feathers, down feathers. Over the weekend my housemate spotted her on the ground (they live in an aviary) sitting in the the rain. all the birds often spend time on the ground, stripping the grass for nesting material and picking up seed so i didn’t give it a second thought.

someone suggested she was egg bound, there is two nesting boxes in the aviary, one already has a bird and her 4eggs in it, the other box seems to be abandoned, as every time i add nesting material too it they pull it out and put it in the other one (so i gave up)

they were treated for worms about 2mths ago.

there was four love birds (3female, one male) and 2 cockatiels (both male) that live in the aviary, its about 3×1.5×2.5m. fairly big, and they have lived in it together since january, before that they all lived in cages (cockatiels in one, two love birds in two separate cages)

any ideas? i just dont want my other birds getting sick.
i’ve never seen them fight, ever, not even over the eggs or boxes

and in the last 24hrs she died, i check them in the mornings and i found her at the bottom of the cage this morning.

hand rearing a 4 day old love bird ?

what should i do to keep my birds warm?

i have 6 lovebirds(3 pairs) that live in an aviary outside. tnight is suposed to be below freezing and we live in socal so they arnt used to this. so i put in 4 nezt boxes. they arnt hung because its dark and i just wanted to get them in ther. i coverd the doors and sides and half the roof with a table cloth material to block the wind. im scared if it gets any colder im gonna wake up to 6 dead birds. so will they be ok? they all know what to do with nest boxes because they are all breeding birds. or should i, against my parents wishes, pull them and put them in a cage in the unused(for cars) bay of the garage. it is really cold and windy..

i think there is a problem for my baby cockatiel?

ok so its about 1 month and a few days, so it should be getting out of its nest box soon, but the box is high above the ground in the aviary. Is it ok for the baby bird?

Why do pet birds in aviarys require nest boxes? ?

WHat purpose do they serve? Can you keep birds in an aviary without them?

How to get rid of fleas in my Bird Aviary without killing birds?

My puppy snuck in the room for a very short time and the fleas showed up later. The aviary is in the house and we have eradicated the rest of the house pretty well but I have been afraid to bomb the aviary even if I remove the birds and air it out. I have used borax and salt, vacuumed and sprayed the birds with mite spray(for birds and has same stuff in smaller dose as flea sprays) used a steam cleaner on cages. And they are still jumping on me when I walk into the room. I am not sure if they are actually on the birds and am worried about their nest boxes. I took all the boxes outside except the one that were in the process of being used by the birds. ( I have 8 love birds and 25 cocktails ) So I set up a trap with the lamp and the soap in a dish.
What else can i do that will not harm my birds?

What to feed young-ish zebra finches?

I took two little baby zebra finches (no adult colouring at all) out of my aviary and put them in an indoor cage. The nest had been abandoned and there was a dead baby bird in there too. The two birds I took out had just fledged and no other birds seemed to be paying them much attention. The nesting box was wrecked so I have since pulled it out. I have provided the two young birds with finch seed and water but I have noticed that there are no cracked seeds or husks. I presume this is because they aren’t eating. I’ve tried to feed them some warm porridge and milk through a dropper and this worked a little bit, but it was late and they seemed tired. Any advice on a homemade feeding recipe and feeding techniques would be appreciated. Thanx
