my parakeet egg just hatched 2 days ago and im not sure if thier feeding there young i hear the baby bird chirping all day and all night .this is the 7th baby they had but i think the father is killing them none survied but now my only concern is this one wt can i do. if i choose to hand feed how do i remove the baby bird from the nest without harming it. and what do i do to keep this bird alive please sum 1 help me out thanks
HOW do i know if my cockatiels about to lay eggs like what r the symptoms??? also my bird keeps flying off her perch and goes under a table or the crib in the room and her mate follows her too. also sometimes i hear noises coming from the room their in and it sound almost like baby chicks and when i go there my female is making a noise like that and sometimes the mate too… also every time i go in there she goes crazy she jumps all over her cage and starts calling me obviously she wants something but what?? her food water toys everything is in there??? and they wont stop SCREAMING it is really getting annoying and they can get LOUD and sometimes they start screaming really loud and i run over there when they do and they both go crazy trying to show me what they want but what is that????

someone give me a really good explanation of the symptoms of when a bird is about to lay eggs and i dont have a nest box for them im trying to get them one but in the meantime what else can i give them to use and where should i put it for them??? thx so much!!!!!

I’ve put it in a shoe box with a makeshift nest and covered it with a glove for now. Its prolly only a couple of days old; it hasn’t opened it’s eyes and doesn’t hardly have any feathers.
I found a infant bird on my porch this morning which apparently fell from a nest. It was either paralyzed or too weak to move, but was breathing. Today is supposed to be very hot, and I fear that it will suffer or burn on the sidewalk.
I told a co-worker I would have shot it if I had lived in rural area. He called it wrong since it would be like playing God, and said he would put it in a shoe box and place the boxed bird in a bush which I thought was wrong since it would ensure a more slow death.
Neither of us wanted to touch the bird since we don’t know if it was ill or not.
Anyway, I’m just curious as to how other people would react to this situation.

i found a baby bird outside of my yard. i cant find a nest so its in my house in a box. it tries to fly and doesnt go so far. i tried to feed her water and she drank. i made the water run down a cone and she swallowed the drops. but i dont know how to feed her. i placed a small wet bread crumb but she wouldnt swallow. please help in informing me about other methods i can use. any pointers on how to feed her or what would be the best thing to do? any form of help.

My dog was barking outside and would not stop! I went outside to look and it was a baby bird! Me and my mom put him in a box. He can’t fly yet but has feathers and hops around trying to fly. Soon he fell asleep in the box. My step-dad is going to be home soon and we are going to put him back in the nest. Do you think his mom may have left him? What things should we give him to keep him alive for a couple more hours?
