we feed the birds in our back yard every day. there are blue jays, cardinals, humming birds, etc. but there is this bird that has grayish-brown body with a big red mark on top of his head. is that a wild bird or somebody’s pet? is there any wild birds that have a red mark on their head? i live on long island(just to let you know about the location)

is it ok to feed an african grey bird seed ment for wild birds. (the kind u put in a feeder in ur back yard) she loves sunflower seeds but its blened with other things, so i dont know if that is ok. help 
her diet is normally wonderful, i just ran out of bird seed and dont have a way to get to the store tonight, just curiious if wild bird seed is ok or if it is only meant for out door wild birds

A bird fell out of its nest in our back yard and my little sister wanted to save it… so here we are. I did this myself when I was her age (8-years-old), but I seem to have forgotten what to feed it and how to keep it safe and healthy. Right now it’s in a little shoe box, and is an awfully trusting little thing (it came to me when I went to get it in the back yard – no obnoxious chirping or chasing around involved)
long story short – I just need some advice on the best thing to do for it. What/how do I feed and water it? How do I help it to fly? (so we can let it go when it is strong enough) and is there anything else I should know?

i have a huge palm tree in my back yard and i think there is a nest up there with a hole or somthin, cuz 2 baby birds, possibly a day or two old just fell outta the tree, i put them in a shoe box but i dun no wat to do. im not gonna call animal control or anything like that. so what should i do? please hurry before it gets too dark!!
i have two pairs in the same cage and i just added two nest (wooden box) so they can breed. does moving their cage from inside the house to the back yard daily constitute as dissturbing them? will they breed?
How did we lose the beauty of our Creation we live in? We persecute the atheists and the pagans and the wiccans for loving the earth…when all the while the Bible is packed with verses that say the moon and sun sing, the birds bring the prophets food, the earth helps us and keeps us safe from the devil ( Revelations 12 ) and that all the stars are there for us to navigate this beautiful green crucible we live in. Why did we lose the magic ? Well, I didnt. The face of Jesus is shining on me thru them all and I am dancing with Him thru it now…..in worship of Him I am adoring the moon, smiling at the sun and watching the humming birds feed on our back yard…..

No wonder they both had slept so soundly all the way through this flight. Poor kids. The last few weeks had been a whirlwind of activities and planning, packing and preparing. Even Legalo’s rabbits were now in the care of their neighbour, Mr.Jones who had told the boy that since he had a lot of caged birds to look after in his own home, rabbits wouldn’t pose a problem for him. Between the two of them a long and drawn-out conversation had followed, there, standing in the back yard. It had truly been a kodak-moment. Legalo had lifted feed dishes out of the cage, had pointed to what food was to be served in what dish. How store-bought food could not be mixed in with table scraps. And how much the bunnies liked clean water. Carefully considerate tales the neighbour had flown past Legalo, about how fussy birds could be and how much better they sang once the cages had been cleaned, had been convincing enough for the serious rabbit owner to leave the care of his critters into neighbourly hand
