I live on the 4th floor of an apt complex and woke up to find mouse droppings on my balcony. Is this possible

The droppings are just in one section but look like they belong to more than what one mouse can produce. I see no holes in the walls and there are no drain pipes. I do know that my upstairs neighbor feeds birds above us. Is that related somehow? Is there something I should do? I’m freaking out.

Why do squirrels not eat at night?

Just curious, but I put out food and water for the squirrels on my apartment balcony. I live on the 3rd floor and they jump over from a hanging tree branch and munch away from sun up to sun down, but I never see one stop by when it’s dark.

Where do they go at night? and they don’t eat at night?

The reason I’m confused is because I know that other similar animals like apossums, racoons, skunks and such are always seen more after dark than in the daytime, so I figure that is when they come out in search of food.

So, are my squirrels just so well fed that they don’t have to bother?? LOL

Also, am I hurting the squirrels by feeding them? They aren’t tame and they would never come up to me, but I do sit in my living room and watch them throughout the day stop by and have their fill of peanuts, corn, sunflower seeds, and bird seeds…..and water too. It’s so cute to see them drinking out of the water dish….lol.

Thanks for any info you have.

How do you deter pigeons without deterring other birds?

I love all the birds I feed but recently some pigeons decided they like to eat off my balcony too. I want to keep the feeders but don’t want the pigeons.

Do you enjoy feeding the animals?

I have bread and peanuts that I buy just for them. I like to sit on my balcony early in the morning and distribute it for the birds and the squirrels. Does that make me weird? Am I the only one that does this?

My dog found a baby bird, what do I do?

Last night I came home from work, and a piece of my upstairs neighbors balcony was on my deck. I didn’t think much of it, I left a message for maintenance and went on with my normal life. My dog wanted to go outside, and I let him out, and he refused to come in, which is odd for him. (It is dark outside by this time) I finally go out and make him come inside, making him drop something that was in his mouth (I couldn’t see what it was, I just figured it was a piece of wood) This morning I go out and look on the porch, and right where I made him drop his “piece of wood” Is a flailing baby bird on it’s back. I didn’t know what to do, so I scooped it up in a towel and placed him in a box, which is resting on top of my privacy fence. The nest seems to have been in the balcony above my deck, but I see no other baby birds. I have seen a few birds take some interest in the nestling, but none of them have actually gone right to it.

Age- He’s a nestling, downy like hair, the start of feathers on his wings, and a bare underbelly. Alive and well. For now.
I saw something on the side of his box (I can see him from my window) And went to look, and it looks like another bird has relieved itself on his makeshift nest.

It may have fallen from above…
I decided to see if he made it through the day. He did and I called a wildlife rehabilitation center and I will be driving him up in the morning. Thank you for all the responses.

are cantaloupe and muskmelon the same?is it ok to feed them to baby res turtles…???

its sweet..ain’t it??? so will it cause any harm to the turtles???also i don’t have uva and uvb lighting..so i keep my two res turtles in the sunlight(in my balcony)(they r 3 months old…i keep them in my rubber tub for 2 hrs a day in the sunlight + the rubber tank is covered with a transparent cloth so that the birds don’t take them away)..is it ok?? or still i need to provide them with uva and uvb lighting???

I have an empty box on my balcony & a bird has apparently made it her nest; its got 2 eggs in it. What should?
