Q: I want to feed the garden birds, but what do I need to get started?

There’s never been such a variety of bird foods available on the market – choice is good, but where do you start? Bill Oddie’s advice is to keep it simple. Two good quality bird foods: Premium Mealworm Crumble tiny.cc (for ground/bird table feeding birds) and Premium Garden Friendly tiny.cc (for birds feeding from bird feeders) is just about all you need to cater for most of the birds that will visit your garden. This bird guide tiny.cc will help you to challenge your friends in a bird ID competition, but if you win you have to share the prize with the Bill Oddie’s bird food team!! Bill Oddie’s bird food trial attracts the tits.

Yes that’s right it did attract the tits. For this video I tried something a little different though and tested a combination of my Really Wild Bird Food and Premium Garden friendly recipe. Why? Well that’s the beauty of the recipes, they can easily be combined and on this trial I created the perfect food for Blue tits and Great tits. But see if you can spot another species trying to get in on the bird feeding action…good for them. That’s what I say! Bill Oddie’s Bird Food Recipes – It’s garden friendly for “our birds”

Bill Oddie didn’t have a garden where he grew up, on the outskirts of Manchester. He moved to Birmingham as a teenager and that’s where he first started watching birds and learning how to identify them. That’s where he first learnt that wild birds are all individuals. He’s still feeding the birds today and has a few bird feeding insights to share here. Bill Oddie’s bird food recipes are a high quality and good range of bird foods, easily available in stores across the UK, which are backed-up by bird food experts, Haiths.
