I found this little bird outside of its nest about an hour ago. It’s a high birdhouse and it looks like it was trying to fly and fell. I’ve got him safe in a comfortable box with tiny bits of bread for him to try to eat (He’s a baby, he doesn’t really know how to eat). And he can’t fly obviously so he’s really vulnerable. It looks like he was a little injured from the fall but he might be okay. I need suggestions on how to help him have some chance of survivor. And no, I can’t return him to the nest because the mother won’t care for him after he’s left.
P.S; how does a baby bird drink water? I’ve got a small little cap full of water near him but he hasn’t drank it or tried to eat the bread crumbs. He’s been sleeping for awhile, and still alive because he’s breathing, so I’ve left him alone.
Suggestions?
Those people don’t take regular birds. .__.
Also, those people only come for emergencies. And a bottle is WAY too big for about a week old bird.
Kay, the nest in a birdhouse 12 FEET UP. I’d have to fly to get to it. <_<
