What shall I do with a baby blackbird?

Last night it rained heavily and my brother found a baby blackbird at the bottom of our trees, it was soaked, shaking and couldnt stand, so we brought it into the house put it in a box and kept it warm. This morning the bird was fine and it had small feathers and bits of fluff on some parts, but my dad said it has probably fell out the nest with the bad weather as he didnt think it was quite old enough to be out, we couldnt find the nest so we decided it was best to put it back in the garden and let its parents look after it, so i put it in the garden and I sat all day looking out of the window every 10 mins or so, I seen a few blackbirds hovering around and a male went up to it first but I didn’t see it feed it, then a bit later a female went up to it, but I am unsure whether it fed it as the grass was too long to see. The bird has hopped under some wood and has been sitting there for a couple of hours, what shall I do I dont want to leave it in the rain to die and starve?
Can I also point out that the state the poor thing was in when we found it, it wouldnt have lived, and the house behind have cats so bringing it in was the best answer. The bird has been hopping and spreading its wings all day and has been opening its mouth for food to me. I am also wondering how long it will live without food as I am unsure wether it has been fed today.

A day in the life of a garden bird feeder

The usual dish of mealworms, sunflower seeds and peanuts keeps everyone happy. Bobbin the Robin soon learns from the Blackbird that taking away as many worms as you can carry, rather than one at a time, is the easiest option.

I found a wild baby bird and it just died, does anyone know why?

ok i was in Greely, Colorado the other day and a mother black bird was kicking her baby otu of the nest repeatedly after we put it back in the nest. So i brought it back to my house, Peyton, Colorado and it did fine. That is until about 2 days after ive had it here, it was eating and jumping around and stuff but then today i came in to feed again (eggs scrambled and finley smashed up with water and some baby formula) and it was laying on its side (this morning i noticed it had stopped chirping completley and was only making a weasing noise) i had no idea what to do so i hopped on the internet and tryed to find what i should dom and found nothing. He died about 15 minutes after i had seen him on his side. He was about 2-3 weeks old only had a few feathers and pink still showing, I would like to know why this happened. I beleive it could have been a respitory problem judging by the loss of chirping, but i had a heat lamp over him. *This was a BlackBird by the way* ANY ADVICE NEEDED!

I need some detailed explanations on how to care for a baby blackbird or crow. What are some suggestions?

My cousin (she’s about 11 and is always taking care of some kind of critter) was at her great grandmother’s house, my nextdoor neighbor, and a baby bird fell out of a tree in the back yard of the next house over. The bird hopped it’s way into my neighbor’s backyard where her dog decided to chase it. My cousin caught the bird before the dog even touched it, so there are no physical injuries to the bird, but we need to care for it until it starts learnig to fly. It is a fledgling, it has most of it’s feathers and just a little baby fuzz left, but it’s still somewhat on the ugly side. We think it was trying to learn to fly when it ended up in my neighbors yard. The mother is nowhere to be found, and it wouldn’t be safe outside with the dog running around. So we want to raise it until it can fly and feed itself. Are there any bird experts out there who can help me? Or does anyone have any good suggestions on good websites with good care information on baby blackbirds?
