My Budgies arent bonding?

I have a few budgies currently and I’m attempting to breed a pair. Myllo is a Violet male and Kyra is a yellow and blue Pied female. They bonded when I first got them, but now they arnt bonded anymore. They stay on opposite ends of the cage, and when they are near one another, they dont clean or feed eachother at all. They just sit there. They have a very nice nest box in the cage and a very large cage when lots of toys and food and water mineral block and everything. There very happy birds other than the fact that they wont bond with one another. Should I buy another female and attempt to bond it Myllo. Or another male and bond it to Kyra? Or should I get a totaly new breeding pair all together?

What can I do to get them to bond again?

Please help, thanks.

Adolescent lovebird has kicked dad out and taken over nesting box with mom. HELP!?

I have pair of bonded love birds that have had 2 successful hatches. They have been inseparable since bonding and are loving wonderful parents. Dad has been as nurturing as mom, sitting on the eggs, feeding mom and the babies etc….
I saw them mating a few days ago and now mom has been busy building her nest. This is my problem, their adolescent son/daughter has forced dad from the nesting box and has taken his place. I am concerned that if/when mom lays her eggs, 1. bro/sis will damage them, 2. mom won’t be able to care for them without dad’s help as dad was a full time dad both times prior. 3. adolescent is a male and may try and mate with mom! 4. dad will become depressed because he has been pushed out. Should I move adolescent to a separate cage?
or should I leave things alone and just see what happens?
I hate to set up another cage as I already have 3 large ones set up but I’m thinking that’s my only option.
Any advice is appreciated!

Cockatiel not bonding?

Hello
i got a female cockatiel 5 months a go and a male 2 months ago. So far they have been together for 2 months and i still havent seen them mating. If the female goes close to the male, he sometimes pecks at her. Sometimes the male puts his head down and goes close to the female, the female ALWAYS pecks at him i never saw they both preening each other.

I want them to breed. I put a nest box 2 weeks ago for testing what i saw was the female rushed in. i kept watching…the only thing she was doing wastaking stuff out from the nest and playing with them. SOmetimes if the female is in the nest and the male goes in, the female rushes out. From what i have experienced from the internet it said that the male is the one who goes in the nest first.

the breeder that i got the birds from said they both are old enough to breed and that they will breed in 1 week. The breeder isnt at his palce anymore so i cant get help from him Any ideas???
thx

Is my baby parakeet bonding with me?

Last year my uncle bought a pair of parakeet male and female. The female layed lots of eggs (20 a year). And about 7 of them hatch. Unfortunately, none live.Anyways they had 1 egg about 7 weeks ago and the egg hatched about 3 weeks ago.Luckily this baby parakeet survived and it is almost a month old now.It has grown its feathers on its whole body but it is not completely covered with feather yet.

Anyways the parents of this baby parakeet are untamed. When my uncle bought them they were EXTREMELY aggressive and they still are now.So I thought this is the only chance I can bond with a bird since the egg hatch. So when the baby bird was 3 weeks old I took it out and pet it.It was really frighten. Then when I put it back into the nesting box it screeched and yelled. So the next day I pet it again and when I put it back the same thing happen. And on the third day I pet it and talk to it calmly it stayed and when I put it back it didn’t yell or anything. Is this a good sign of bonding with this baby parakeet? Should I continue to do this everyday? And is there a chance of it being a nice bird because their parents are aggressive.Any ideas and tips? Sorry for the long question. It would be appreciated if you can help. Thanks!
