Do you enjoy feeding the animals?

I have bread and peanuts that I buy just for them. I like to sit on my balcony early in the morning and distribute it for the birds and the squirrels. Does that make me weird? Am I the only one that does this?

baby birds?

We found a baby bird out on the lawn and everytime I threw bread out it’d open it’s beak. I didn’t give it any. There are no trees around, but two adult birds but we can’t tell if they’re the parents because they won’t feed it. It ran across the road so my brother led it over there safely but it tried coming back to our side. W e put it back on the other side and all it does is sit there and chirp chirp chirp. What should I do, the adult birds are gone, i’m afraid it’ll get runover or starve.

We found a wild bird, how do we care for it?

It looks somewhat like a finch and it seems it already knows how to fly. I’m not too sure if it fell from its nest but there were no nests around. Now, what exactly should we do? We’ve been feeding it tiny pieces of bread made mushy with water. Is this acceptable and if not is there a place we can take it?

I found a baby bird and it’s been doing fine for half a day but I still feel like I need help?

By the way it’s doing fine in my house and I’ve been feeding it bread dipped in milk. I don’t know what kind of bird it is but now it barely has feathers so I don’t think it was fledging. I would have let the parents have more time to look for the baby (since the was no birds flying around in the area) but there was a storm coming up and I took it in when I felt rain drops. Also, heard giving it water was bad for a baby bird it that true and if it is good thing i didnt give it water

Who can I call to get a birds nest removed?

Inside my roof there’s a birds nest and every few weeks newborn birds fall. i give them bread crumbs and water and put them in a box but I cant always do that because there’s a lot of strong wind and the bird falls out. for example today I found a bird in front of my home and it leg was broken.I put it in a box and gave it bread crumbs and water and left to go somewhere i thought it had died and decided to wait till the morning to see it was really dead and when i came back it was outside of the box which meant it was either alive and managed to get out or the wind had blown it out. Also many cats live in my area and one time a a baby bird died and ants came and well took care of it. Can someone tell me a place that i can call to get the nest removed and/or made sure they wont come back?

There’s a bird on the window?

Okay just yesterday, I saw this bird on my uncle’s window. There was a nest but no eggs so I thought I should wait. Then I tried feeding it with a bread, but the bird refuses to eat it and then it flew away. And then just this morning it came back, and a couple of hours ago the egg was there already. And about an hour ago the bird disappeared again. Is it out to get some food? how long will it take for the eggs to hatch? it’s just a typical wild bird though…
I think it’s a finch. It’s as big as a 13-years old’s palm. It’s gray-ish. And yeah, that’s about it.

Pitt Bull Owners, throw out the “How He was raised” factor….?

If I’m wrong, then why do pointers, (Bird Dogs) know how to point at an early age? How about well bread beagles, their noses are on the ground sniffing for rabbit tracks at 5 months old? Why? because its bred into them. Same way with bucking horses, they breed a good bucking horse to another to get a good bucking stock! Not that I hate pitt bulls, but they were orignally breed to fight. Pitts from show quailty are cool, look at the past pedigree! If I’m wrong, get a 3 y/o horse from bucking stock breed, feed him all the carrots you want, brush him, then get on him. Then tell me its the owners fault! I’m ready, hit me with the amount of the hospital bill after he bucked you and stomped your ass!! Just wanted to speak my mind, tired of the “Its the owners fault” answers….
