is something wrong with my parakeets?

they’re making some noise now but they don’t move a whole lot or play with the toys i gave them. i put in a nesting box but they don’t go in it. this is my first time with parakeets but my family has been raising canaries and some miniature parrots since i was 5, so i’m not a beginner with birds. i don’t buy birds at pet stores so these were from a breeder. she said they’d had babies before and that the female would probably lay eggs soon. they’re better than they were a few days ago but i’m still wondering, am i doing something wrong?

Breeder’s Blend supplement for birds?

The direction say feed a pinch per bird per day. How do I feed it? Do I sprinkle it on the seed or add it to water? I already put calcium plus in the water and have a cuttlebone that they love.
I am planning to breed them. They are zebra finchs.

Lovebirds?

I just got two baby lovebirds, they are sibblings though I dont know the sex. I They are about 8 or 10 weeks old and the breeder put them in the same cage. I just wanted to know if this is ok? They are very friendly and playful and she told me they are hand feed though I havent tried scince they got here because I dont want to frighten them. And the breeder didnt say to put one in a different cage. But they are always cuddling and playing togetherand Im not planning on breeding them to any other birds, so is it ok to leave them together?

Turquoise parrots. Strange behaviour?

My 2 turquoise parrots (male and female) seem to be really quiet and shy. Is this normal? They have a great diet of parrot seed, plenty of water, the odd dried fruit eg. sultanas, mango, etc, and always have a cuttle bone in the cage. They have plenty of space, I’m talking a 2.5×1.8 m aviary, shared with 2 green cheek conures and 2 button quails. We were told by a bird breeder that they conures and turquoise parrots are compatable. They have their own nesting box of the recommended size, with some wood shavings and soil on the floor as suggested by the bird breeder, who we purchased them from. They don’t go in the nest box though.

Is this behavior normal for turquiose parrots?
I just noticed this morning that the female is inside the nest box!!! Mabye she is laying.
By the way, the box isn’t on the ground, it is near the top of the cage.
The aviary also has a roof and three walls so it is nicely sheltered.

What should I do for a Fan-tailed pigeon who has recently taken up residence in my yard?

I’m thinking it either escaped from a breeder or it lost it’s mate and doesn’t know what to do. I’ve been feeding it regular bird seed and it seems to get along well with the other wild birds in my yard. I live near Denver, CO and it’s not often I even see pigeons much less have one hanging out in my yard. Is there anyone experienced with pigeons who could offer some advice?

My budgie has just gotten into her nesting box; she is continuously getting mad at my male. I need some advice

I have two budgerigars, Sky, a pretty blue female that was born to one of my old hens, and Budgie, a male I bought from a breeder. They are both roughly two years old. I have before kept them in a cage without a nesting box, but several days ago we put them in a bigger cage which does include a nesting box. Today, Sky went into the nesting box. The thing that confuses me, though, is that whenever Budgie is continuously harrassing her, and Sky is getting mad, chasing him away. From my previous experience with breeding budgies, the male will often stand outside the box to guard the hen. Budgie, I think, intends to do this, but Sky is getting upset over it. She sticks her head out of the box and pecks him so he flies away, and if he doesn’t jumps out of the box and glares at him. He’s really bothering her. Another thing, if Sky has chicks, I don’t know how good a father Budgie will be; or does it come naturally to all males? And I don’t have any other birds to foster chicks to if too many.
