any experts in bird hand feeding?

i bought a young cag who was still being handfed by his breeder. he is 3 months old and on 3 feedings. the bastard breeder told me he has a family emergency and was leaving the state inmediately, so i either took my bird and learned to handfeed or waited till he settled and he would return half my money. needless to say i took my baby home and im handfeeding him as i was instructed, when he is full he wipes his beak, refuses food and flies away to his cage(which im quite impressed by) or sometimes i put him back, but not too long has passed and he cries for us, is he still hungry or what is it? i also give him fuits, veggies, cheerios and millet spray which he squashes and sort of eats, but why does he still cry? it breaks my heart to hear him and i never refuse him food. we all kiss and play with him, what should i do for him? the breeder actually did leave, but i dont want to see my baby cry. thanks for any help.
he hasnt lost weight, he is not lethargic he actually will fly to us if in the mood. his crop is full also, but how do i cut the middle feeding? wont he cry more? i was told not to refuse him food, so how do i wean him? im not frustrated but afraid for him. he seems well, i have had him 1 week and so far so good. he is sweet and friendly even to the kids, our only issue is that he likes climbing heads-lol- he loves to be on top of his cage, but it just scares me when he cries so much. my hats off to all you handfeeders, it certainly takes ba11s to do this.

African Grey Parrots?

I have a breeder pair of Greys. I blocked off their nest box in Jan 09 because I was going to England for an extended stay. They have raised me some wonderful babies. Now they won’t breed. I allowed them back into their box for a year now. I have tried every trick that I know and haven’t had any luck.

They are a wild caught pair from the Congo. The almost never come out of their box when I am in the bird building. Then the came out of their box for about three weeks. I hadn’t seen them out in their cage that much since I bought them six years ago. Then they went back to their regular routine. They have finished up their moult and still nothing. I have sixteen pair of Amazons and almost every pair either has eggs or working the box.

Please serious answers only!
Pets r Wild.

I didn’t ask for your opinion on the origination of my parrots. Go hug a d*mn tree somewhere.
I am a responsible breeder who takes much better care of my birds than the average person who keeps a pet parrot.
r m
I feed fresh fruits and veggies every day. I give Nekton supplements. My birds are fed a pelleted diet by Zupreem. They are vet checked once a year. They are on a regular regimen for worms. The person who took care of my birds is a very good bird person.

I have averaged raising 36 parrots a season for the last four years. I not concerned with illness in my parrots. I have read where they will stop breeding for several years only to take back up. My birds have been in captivity for 16 years. (documented) They raised big healthy babies in the past. ????????

I have Parakeet question?

Ok my Parakeets are 13 months old (1 year and a month.) My moms friend used to breed and sell them. she would also do shows and stuff. so i want to carry on her tradition so i got a male and a female parakeet from a local breeder.the female does have a whit/brown cere. the male has a blue/purple cere. i would like to breed them but i dont know what to do i have read alot about breeding them. i keep them by my window to see outside. the light is left on for about 12 hours. i talk to them. i feed them veggies. fruit. and seed. i have a nest box and a huge cage. and every one tells my bird are spoiled. what should i do to let them breed?

How to help my cockatiel trust me!!!!?

I have an male albino cockatiel named about 9 months and a tamed 1 years old hand-fed female normal gray coco. I purchased blizzard from a breeder who said give him time he’ll come around etc.. and I got Home and put him in with coco b/c she had this weird scream for attention all the time. I first open the box and he draws blood from me and then every time I attempt to work with him he gets crazy and flies all around, and bolts at me right out the cage and runs crazy all around the floor and Attempted to get him with a Towel and if you even touch him the wrong way his wing bleed. I have had him for like 4 months and hes out of control he and the female get along to some extent and my girl just laid 3 eggs and is sitting on them, but they are fertile and my mom said you never know what happens when the cage is covered at night and they don’t get along so how could they have mated. He also when the female leaves the nest tried to go in and just rolls the eggs around and does not know what he is doing then the female hisses and attacks him. This is ridiculous this bird is the worse bird ever he hisses and never gives you a chance he runs and shakes, I am wondering what those ppl did to him that raised him.

is something wrong with my parakeets?

they’re making some noise now but they don’t move a whole lot or play with the toys i gave them. i put in a nesting box but they don’t go in it. this is my first time with parakeets but my family has been raising canaries and some miniature parrots since i was 5, so i’m not a beginner with birds. i don’t buy birds at pet stores so these were from a breeder. she said they’d had babies before and that the female would probably lay eggs soon. they’re better than they were a few days ago but i’m still wondering, am i doing something wrong?

Breeder’s Blend supplement for birds?

The direction say feed a pinch per bird per day. How do I feed it? Do I sprinkle it on the seed or add it to water? I already put calcium plus in the water and have a cuttlebone that they love.
I am planning to breed them. They are zebra finchs.
