New nest boxes for 2011 breeding season I’ve made.. trying the fronts out seeing if I need any mods..they seem a little tight but that’s easy to refine.. have yet to cut holes in the fronts for drinkers etc.. boxes designed to be big enough to leave birds in while pairing up and mating.. yet can let birds out while on eggs and rearing young until due to mate again and can be closed back in.. or left open and used for fosters for the individual boxes I already have that guarantees parentage… boxes measure 800 Width mm x 450 Depth x 490 Height mm .. fronts can be located in two positions so the hen can be closed in by herself for pairing or stored above out of the way.
