My cat, Pumkin (one of those odball orange cats that come in every litter), is eating too many small animals. So he gets (Shall i say it?) stuffed up the butt (Sorry every1). And im just woundering, since we have an abundance of small animals, how do you make them stop without watching them.
PS We let him outside without supervision he’s seven years old and hit by two cars, thats probably part of the problem. We are currently feeding him a food that will help so nothing about food.
i just got two love birds a few days ago, they are soppose to be ‘ male and female’ lutino female and normal is male. but the lady wasint for sure sure. so we just made a nesting box last night. and the yellow one went inside and starting makeing weird noises… now today both are insie the nest and she is spreading her wings and putting her tail feathers in the air sticking her butt up.
what does this mean? she is trying to mate? is she just stretching?
my bird has all the symptoms of she may be pregnant but i never saw my birds mate and she has been sitting at the bottom of the cage with her butt puffed out a little so i will buy a nesting box for her but what kind of material is needed?
I have 2 young lovebirds (a 10 month old and a 4 month old). I don’t know their genders but the older one seems to be acting very nesty and shredding obsessively. My older bird’s vent is also kinda swollen but I don’t see an egg bump near his butt.
I’m not interested in breeding at all. But I just I want to know how I can help ease my bird’s stress? Should I get a nest box?
They also have separate sleeping cages at night and shares a flight cage during the day.
They’ve been to an avian vet. He said they’re healthy. As for separating them, the younger bird is already attached to the other. They’ve been sharing the play cage for a month and it would only stress them out more. Thanks for your input
She has a bloody egg hanging out of her butt! I don’t have a nesting box!! I put the male parakeet out of the cage into another one. What should I do?!?! I bought 8 in1 UltraCare Nesting Material for all Birds, and put it in a little box at the bottom of the cage.
So we are going to start buying hens and eating there eggs they produce. The only problem is……. I have never been raised on a farm nor do I know the first thing about them (With the exception of picking the eggs from the coop when I was little at Friends house) I just feel like something is missing. Can you really just go by hens and eat there eggs without getting sick? How do I know I am not going to get some parasite by eating it? How do I know the egg wont make me sick if the chicken is sick? Does it even pass through to the egg? Do I wash the egg or not? I am studying my butt off so I know what to do with the hens and I am getting confused. What is a perch? What is a nesting box? what is a roosting box? do I need all three? Can you get bird flu by eating an contaminated egg? If not bird flu what can you get? How do you make sure the egg don’t get contaminated? Please!!!!! someone help me, I am begging you! So, I know my chickens will have everything they need.
she had an egg like an 1 and a half months ango but no more than one (she had the egg in the petsore were i bought her ) she has a mate and they been feeding and scratching each other 2 my other female bird is guarding the nest box and not letting any other bird in there so is this going to affect the other bird with the egg shaped butt
