Okay so my Baby Grey has been home a day and a half. I haven’t seen her drink any water yet.?

She has eaten watermelon though. Does she get enough water that way? Also, she munches on fruit, veggies and cereal, but wont eat her veggie mix ( a concoction made for the birds in the store). I was told she was still being fed by syringe once a day, but she fights with me when I try to feed her that way. She wants to eat everything out of my hand. I don’t mind, but how do you think she’s doing? Do you think she’ll get enough food that way, and what about the water?

What are a few good things to feed a house bird, things that humans would eat?

I own a sun conure parrot and I was wondering what a few good things to feed her would be. Things that people would eat. She loves sweets(cinnamon rolls, pop) but those are just treats b/c she will get really aggresive. She likes cereal but I want something that is healthy for her. Any Suggestions, no stupid ones either.

My Cockatiels mostly eat seeds. When their 5 eggs hatch will that be okay for the babies? Can I touch the eggs?

My female didn’t lay her eggs in the nesting box, she did so on the bottom of the cage. Both mom and dad are attending to the eggs. When I got the birds a year ago (already a year old) they were only eating seeds. I got them to eat now a little dandelions leaves and spinach leaves and sometimes a little bran cereal. Will this be suffitiant for the baby birds. Also can I touch the eggs? Will the birds still sit on them If I touch them. And when the eggs hatch will I be able to handle them.

How is the best way to release a bird that have been feeded for you since baby?

I found an orphan baby bird in the yard and I take to my home to give him the chances to survive, and I am still taking care, I feed him every time he open his mounth asking for food. I bring the Vet and he says he looks healthy no problems. I feed only special cereal for baby birds. every time he say “piu piu piu” opening his mounth and I put the cereal insidethe mounth.
Since this morning he is more active, amazingly, jumping and singing, I am happy that he is surviving. The problem for me now is how can I release this little bird? when is adult? when is able to fly?, is he be able to feed by himself? what happens if he doesn’t want to go?, probably he will miss his/my family net?, I am feeling so bad, so sad, anyone can give me some advices? I can not keep the bird because I have respect for animals specially for BIRDS that they DESERVE TO BE FREE. So impossible to keep this little bird in a cage no way. Thank you again for your comments and help.

What can I make with…???

Accidently bought puffed wheat cereal instead of my usual sugar smacks and now I’m stuck with them. Besides feeding it to the birds, does anybody have a recipe so I could make something yummy with them?
