When you get a new pet like a conure and you know that bottle feeding is bonding time with the baby but your parents are too lazy to take you what do you do or how would you react?
If you did this some1 would think u don’t care or bond with the bird and why is that so?
According to my breeders and my information I am bottle feeding it and you have a closer bond when bottle feeding.
The pet store told me that he loves the toy so much that he thinks its his mate and is feeding it. I thought maybe it could be a female and thinks that the toy is her baby? The bird is healthy in every other way.any suggestions??
My bird is a Green Cheeked Conure, about 6 or 7 months old. The people I bought her/him (?) from were feeding it sunflower seeds and wild bird seed.
I bought some bird food (maintenance food that looks like light tan pellets and some fruit maintenance food that looks like fruit and smells like fruit) but Bobby picks thru the food to find the seeds( caused I stupidly mixed all the foods together). I also read somewhere on the net that this kind of bird likes cold. Cold water for a bath and cold temperatures too.
Bobby loves to sit on the window sill of my closed window and when I pick it up it’s feet are very cold. Should this worry me ? Also, does anybody
know if a male or female talks ? Bobby is learning quite a vocabulary and talks it’s head off to get me up in the mornings !!!!! I have read quite a bit on the net but still need some answers……thanks alot for helping me.

I own a sun conure parrot and I was wondering what a few good things to feed her would be. Things that people would eat. She loves sweets(cinnamon rolls, pop) but those are just treats b/c she will get really aggresive. She likes cereal but I want something that is healthy for her. Any Suggestions, no stupid ones either.

i have been given a pair of conures the male is black cap and the pearly is female now these birds are feeding eachother they are preening and basically acting like a pair of lovebirds allways snuggled together and i have been thinking about breeding them i know there offspring will be hybrids is this right? and what will the hybrids look like
I have a Green Cheek Conure and two budgies. I bought a cage big enough for the conure (5years ago) and i bought a parakeet cage at the petstore. I recently traded the birds cages because I thought two budgies would need a bigger cage than one conure…was this a good decision? It will only be temporary because in a couple of weeks wer are getting this huge cage for all 3 of them (and yes I know conure could kill them but they all get along remarkable well). So the other reason I did this was so I could fit a nesting box in my keets cage just in case they were to breed.
The cage i have is huge and all the birds have been in there together just fine! If the keets breed (one is still very young) of course I would not keep them in the same cage…i would give them my conures old cage which is rather large

Our Sun cunure died yesterday got egg bound on her second egg she ever laid she was nearly 10 years old and a very much loved part of the family.
We are worried about our male will he be fine with a new mate? as they grew up together since birth. he seems a bit sad not acting normal not sure if he has relized what has happened he just sits in his nest box.
We really want to get him another freind, will he get along with a new conure? or learn to get along with a new conure? should I get an older bird closer to his age or a hatchling
