budgies and eggs?

i have 4 parakeets…2 boys and 2 girls. I saw one boy (sydney) and one girl (pudge) mate a few weeks ago but no eggs. My other girl zoey has been in and out of her nesting box very often but laid no eggs at all. Occasionally i find pudge in the box or looking in there but today i saw her sitting in the corner of the cage. When i went near it she went back up top and she is eating and drinking fine.Could she be sick or is she going to lay an egg? Also is there a chance zoey may lay an egg? I do know a lot about birds but i am nervous for pudge she is my oldest one and i love her

my lovebirds laid 6 eggs and it has been over 30 days and they have not hatched. what should i do?

The eggs were laid in the nesting box we bought, plenty of nesting materials were provided and we have given the birds lots of good bird seed with nuts, fruits, etc. But it seems that we are beyond thenormal gestation period. the mother still protects the eggs and will not let anyone go into the nesting box, which is hanging in a corner of the larger cage. not sure how long before i declare the eggs officially infertile, and if so, what shoudl i then do with them?

Hi! Is it possible to breed 2 cockatiles and 2 parakeets in a very large cage?

It’s almost a flight cage. I’m going to get the birds today or tomorrow and I already have the cage. I was going to put the nesting boxes in the far corner. Anways, they should get along right. Thanks for advice.

Lovebird, always assumed was the female, in 2 bird cage. Laid egg in bottom corner of cage. what to do?

2 year old, at least, always assumed female lovebird laid egg in corner of cage. Both she and mate are inquesitive about it, and do keep going back to the egg, she had sat on it for while til I noticed she was staying on bottom of cage too much. Found egg, left it laying where she has it in corner of course ontop of the cage bottom rack. No nesting box, will egg and future eggs be ok, and can they hatch if fertile, and grow from bottom of cage? First instance with lovebirds. My last pair of cockatiels laid infertal eggs several times a day, but not sure what to do with Lovebirds. Any suggestions to what to do and what to do if more is laid, and if they are fertile, she cares for them and they hatch. do I need to put anything in cage to make a nest or is it too late?

OMG! I found a bird nest! When will the eggs hatch?

They are smaller than an acorn, she laid them in the corner of the box, i only touched the other side of the box to see them. There are 5 eggs. When they hatch, and i walk in on them, and the mom is feeding them, will she fly away and never come back?
I know not to touch them -_- but what if I walk in while the momma bird is there?! Will she like come back then?

Baby Birds – Need help ASAP!!?

Please help me! I have 2 baby blackbirds in my back garden. They are not even the size of my fist. Their mother continues to feed them in the corner of my garden on the ground (they fell out of a tree). All is well, however there is a cat going around our area. The reason they fell out of the tree was because the cat attacked their nest. We tried to get them into a box lined with newspaper to keep them warm, however we were unsuccessful. They scattered, but we managed to get them into the corner together, so they can keep warm together. The mother is still feeding them, but they cannot yet fly and are under constant threat of being attacked by the cat. We were thinking of putting them into our shed in a box and feeding them ourselves so the cat won’t attack them, but is it alright to take them away from their mother? We cannot put them back into their nest because it is too high – PLEASE HELP!

A little difficulties with with my parakeets?

When I added a nesting box (tissue box with shredded paper) and added the egg carefully with a glove on, my bird didn’t seem to go near it or in it. So, i took it back out and put the egg back where it was in the first place on the bottom of the cage in the corner.

Will my female parakeet still care for it?
