Is it possible for a cat and dog who hated eachother to start with, be able to get along eventually?

My cat and dog hate eachother. My dogs chased the cat a few times through the house (the dog lives outside the cat in) My dog as killed a duck :( used to chase birds, and bit the my birds tail when it was poking out the cage

It’s funny because the cat will sit at the door and stir up the dog, wait for the dog to put her nose through the door and then the cat will strike.

Lately the dogs started showing less and less interest in the cat and the cats stopped tormenting the dog as much. This morning the weirdest thing happened – I was feeding the dog and the backdoor was open and the cat walked straight up to the dog and they touched their noses together.

I was in shock, before if the dog got a chance to be that close to the cat she’d attack.

Of course I’m not going to trust the dog around the cat, But is it possible that they have become friends now?

The dog doesn’t bother chasing birds anymore and doesn’t bark at the cat. Maybe she’s settled down to like other animals?
hah maybe I should have proof read this question oops.

Found baby birds. What do i do?

So i have been keeping my eyes on this nest. We have a large deck and a robin built her nest on one of the bars underneath it. We had a nest there last year and it was destroyed by squirrels. I had the dech covered on top of where the nest was to protect them from the rain. When i went to clean up after the dogs today the nest was gone. I looked and found a broken up nest, 3 baby birds and a cracked egg. The cracked egg just hatched. Theres no way i can try and put them back. The nest is destroyed. I have them in a box with a towel. They are hungry. How do i feed them? What do i feed them? Is there anything i can do? Animal control says they have their hands full so im at a loss of what to do. Any help would be great
Gunny thats just mean. These are helpless baby birds. What kind of person would i be if i left them there? That would have been cold hearted and as a animal lover i would never do that. They would have been killed or they would have starved to death. If you dont have a helpful answer then dont answer. I didnt meddle in nature. I am simply being a good person and trying to give these babies a shot at life
Thank You to the ones with helpful answers. i called the spca and it actually just put me through to the animal control like before so i found the raptor trust and will be taking them there now. For now i knitted a little baby cap and put a rubber glove with warm water and tissues on top to use as a temp nest and to keep them warm for the time being. They are still see through. Thanks for the help

Anyone ever use a professional pet-sitter?

I am starting my own professional pet-sitting business, in which I will go into clients homes and take care of their small animals (cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, aquariums, etc.). I’m interested in what people are willing to pay for the services. They include, but are not limited to, walking, brushing, cleaning up messes and litterboxes, cleaning cages, feeding, puppy sitting, shuttling to and from grooming and vet appointments, as well as bringing in mail and watering plants. Pets, such as dogs, will get multiple visits each day, as well. The area in which I live has several towns, each with about 15,000-25,000 people, most professionals in the workforce, and I’d like to provide a service so they don’t have to worry if their pets are well-taken care of. All services will be confidential as well.

How much $$ should I offer my friend to take care of my animals while I’m on vacation?

I’ve got 2 rabbits that need to be fed and watered twice a day, and 3 cats that need to be checked. And a bird to feed and water too. My dogs are going to be boarded. And water the garden in the evening.

I was thinking of offering her $10 per day. She only has to drive across town, but she has to come over twice a day. Is that a reasonable offer?
We live in a small town. It take more time for me to get in my car than it does for me to drive to her house.

The thing that will take the longest is to water the garden at night, maybe 30 minutes at the most.

I will not change my rabbit’s feeding schedule.

And I’ll be gone for a week.

Caught a baby bird?

There was a baby bird in my drive way, i caught him and put him in a cage. He’s calm, he lets you pet him. He’s not very old, but does have all of his feathers. He can only fly about 2-3 feet at a time, which is why i brought him in. He ventured around in my driveway for about an hour or so and our dogs kept barking at him.
He’s a normal any old day blackbird, what should I feed him?
Should I let him back out?
Should I take him to a vet?

Does anyone know the if it is safe to use weed and feed on a yard taht pets play in….?

Also will it hurt the birds. The weed and feed says if you get it on your skin or clothing to remove clothing or wash skin immediatly, yet it has no mention of use on pet areas and I know this is a product that people use on thier entire yards. But I am a little unsure of using it where my dogs go out.
