my grandmother was at the zoo and she was feeding the birds, the little boy standing next to her was also feeding the birds. when the little boy got curoius about what birds eat, he tried some for himself, but his mother slapped all the bird feed out of his hands and screamed (my grandmother is deaf, and she could hear her shreaking) “DON’T EAT THAT!! ITS NOT KOSHER!!”

I found a swallow on the sidewalk, and it is not flying. I am not sure of the age, or whether or not it is sick or injured. I would like to feed it but am unsure what to give it. Worms, fly’s knats???
