48 hour bird egg…eating, caring, etc…?

So, you may have seen my last question about how i found a bird egg, that i do not know if it it a Robin or a Greckel. yes, i suppose you have, if not, well, then, keep reading. So, i have been incubating this egg for about 48 hours now. I DO know that it is ALIVE and growing. The egg has gotten a bit bigger since i last measured it (the day we found the egg). There were no birds nest around, not up in the short trees we have here…no where! the closest nest in in my backyard, in my BBQ pit, but i have been watching that nest since it was being built. there were 5 eggs the day before they hatched, and about 3 minutes after they all had hatched, i went outside and counted the chicks…and still 5! i know that i didnt miscount the # of eggs, there have only been 5, and no more, no less, since!
i have been rotating the egg regularly, and monitoring the size, and heat of the incubator…
my question is what i should do to prepair for the hatch.
once it hatches, its going to be hungry, right? so what do i feed it? i own 3 birds of my own, but, anyways, should i feed it parakeet fod for the first few “whiles”. i wont be keeping it as a pet, i am going to care for it until it opens its eyes, then its straight the ASPCA.
here are all my questions-
•what should i feed it after it hatches?
•BEFORE it hatches, what should i put it in? should i place it in a box, then back on the heating pad?
•what should i do to prepare for the hatch?
•do i need to find worms? or can i buy them from the fishing section at wal-mart?
•how many times do i need to feed it?
•what are good signs of health that i should be looking for?
•REMEBER, ITS A ROBIN EGG, WHAT ARE SOME THINGS THAT I SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT THE CHICK DOESNT HAVE?
thnkx soooo much! ♥
btw, i do know that it is alive, i have tested it. and that was a visual account, im not sure that it has gotten bigger. please do not try to mock my intelligence.

Are my lovebirds getting ready for eggs?

My lovebirds have started to spend alot of time in their nest boxes, with the male mostly peeking his head out or standing on the perch just outisde. i havent seen them prepare a nest, and there is nothing in the box, so i wouldnt think they are. It has started getting hot here (im in qatar, mideast) so maybe they just want shade? i usually leave them outside to communicate with other bird types, they love it. but now they are just staying inside the box. even when i take them in at sunset, they still stay in the box. whats happening?
ive actually just seen them jump out and start chirping, i know its at the other birds, but now theyve went back in.

my chickens are 27 weeks old and still no eggs!!! Why?

I have 3 Plymouth Rock buff Bantams. They are 27 weeks old or there abouts. Not one single egg as yet!
I have a Bantie Rooster with them, feed them layers pellets, fresh water, clean housing, nest boxes, plenty of outdoor space, option to be in or outside anytime of day. Plenty of sunshine (Yes really, sun in England in April!)
Oh they also have grit should they need it. They are all very
healthy clean lovely birds but I just can’t wait for the little eggs!
Is this unusual?
Please someone tell me it will be any day soon!
Thanks

do you have to get a nest box, or can u use a round nest made of twigs? I have an open round one in the cage.?

I have had my budgie Sammi for about 3 years and our neighbors just moved and gave us their bird Coco. Sammi is the female and Coco is the male he is about the same age. I have a nice big cage lots of toys and they love the bottom of the cage filled with the bedding you use for hamsters. I don’t really want to put a nest box in there. I just caught them mating and was wondering if she will lay her eggs without a nest box.

Can we move this new bird’s nest without hurting the bird?

We are having electrical problems in our home and less than a 3 days ago it was just and old breaker box. Now a bird has made a nest on top of it and the electrician is due tomorrow! We got close to it and the bird doesn’t move and I fear she’s laying eggs or already has. How and where could we move the nest if the breaker box needs replacing (which it probably does)? There are lots of cats in the neighborhood and we don’t have trees in our yard.
It’s impossible to leave the bird’s nest there. Our electrical problem is a major fire hazard and if it’s not in the breaker box, we’ll leave the nest alone, but diagnostics so far say it IS the breaker box so either the nest gets destroyed or we try to move it responsibly.

Biology Question related to Evolution?

A protein similar to the mammalian hormone prolactin is found in amphibians and birds. In amphibians, such as newts, it causes the animals to seek water as they do when they lay their eggs. In birds, such as pigeons, it causes them to regurgitate material from the crop to feed their young. Mammals respond to prolactin by producing milk. How does the theory of common descent explain these similarities?
This is for my lab so it does matter, religon people leave no comment.
When I say religion people no comment im not insulting them i have my religious beliefs, i just strictly wanted a science answers
