How do I feed my two zebra finches meal worms? Do I hand feed them or put in cage and let them get em. Provide details.
Anything would help……
Thanks
Also, how many worms should I feed them in a day?

I got a new cockatiel for 4 days now. he hasnt eatten much unless i feed him by my hand and take him out of his cage. he always goes for the seeds that are mixed with the pellets. he’ll eat those first then he’ll eat the peppers. but once thats done, he wont touch the pellets. but how many should he be eatting on average. and please dont say it depends because i asked his vet and he said the same and i asked the breeder and she said the same. i just need an average because im a new bird owner and dont know. like around 5-10 pellets a day? 10-20? 30-40? 50-60? 100-120? please help! i’m afraid my bird isnt eatting much.

To you bird people…i live in pennsylvania, and i have a hummingbird feeder. And while hummingbirds that feed on it usually hover, every once in awhile they’ll land on it for 20 or 30 seconds. Well, I noticed a couple weeks ago, one hummingbird when it lands, will do this thing where it sorta bobs its head from side to side…almost like someone listening to hip hop music might. I thought that particular hummingbird might just have some mental or physical problem, but then noticed the other day an entirely different hummingbird clearly doing the same thing. It’s this slow rythmic bobbing of the head back and forth when perched, they may do it 10 or 15 seconds at a time. Both that did it were males.
Is this a mating attractant? Does it deal with sugarwater digestion? Is it already a known behavior to hummingbird experts? I doubt I’ve made some behavioral discovery, but if nobody on here is familar with this behavior, I just might have!
Has anyone seen or heard of this behavior?

I have heard people talking about Harrison’s organic bird food. I reasearched it and they didn’t have them in specific sizes. Does anyone have feed this brand. If so, what is the pellet size?

He has most of his feathers but cannot perch or fly yet. He flaps his wings a whole lot and tries to crawl. He eats well, i feed him moist cat food.
What other foods are better?
Is his breathing normal? If not, what do i do?
Is the flapping of wings normal?
