Male and Female Parakeets!?

I have had a male parakeet for 8 years now, and I recently got a new one last winter. I put them in their own cages because I thought after so long the male wouldn’t like having a new bird in his space. But I didn’t know that it was a girl! I thought it was taking a long time for the cere to change to blue, and when they finally got to interacting together yesterday, they started to ‘kiss’ each other and she put her tail up in the air and his pupils got really tiny! I tried to take him away but he hopped off of my finger back to her! Eventually he let me put him back in the cage. I can’t deal with any babies but I feel bad to separate them. I think they are bonded already now! I have never had more than one bird at a time. I would like to let them be together but I want to be pretty sure they won’t have babies. I read to not give or let them make a nest box….Had anyone had personal experience with this and what did you do? Also, I noticed that the female eats everything- the cuddle bone is almost gone in a few weeks, the grainy perch covers are eaten up, and she even eats the wood perch…I gave her the mineral block and she just pooped on it. Is there anything special I need to do for female parakeets? Thanks.

When should I remove love bird eggs?

I have 2 love birds ( assuming they are both female since non of the eggs are fertile.) I put a nesting box in about 3-4 months ago because I kept seeing them doing it. There have been eggs in there since the day after I put it in, but I have been noticing that they have been eating the eggs, because there is white stuff on their beaks, and less eggs. I want to know when should I remove the nesting box and all the eggs?

Female bird died with chicks?

My parakeets laid eggs awhile back and 3 hatched, the chicks are about 1 month old, today i found the female parakeet dead the male is feeding them but i’m NY sure if he feeds them as well as the female i need advise. And i’m wondering if i could put another female parakeet with them to feed the chicks. Right now the male is in the nest box with them. What should i do i’m really sad about the female but i’m also worried if the chicks will survive please help me

What is the gender of my cockatiels?

I have two cockatiels and i think they r male and female but im not positive….
My “Male” Is ether a pearled or pied. His back has pearls all over but his chest has pied markings. He looks like a male, really long and slender. Narrow hips and bright coloring. But his tail and his behavior is what confuses me. His tail has no vi sable horizontal lines but u can feel them when u stroke the feathers. But they r vi sable around his vent. He is super quiet and barley makes a sound. When he does its just 1 short whistle or soft squeaking sounds.
My other one is what i think is a female. She is a pied, i know that for sure. She has vi sable horizontal line on a few of her tail feathers but u cant feel thm and they rnt on her vent. She really does look like a female. Wide hips, shorter, a bit more “chubby” looking, her crest is shorter, her colors r dull and there is barley any yellow on her face. But once again her behavior confuses me. She is SUPER loud! and she runs back and forth on my longer perch all the time, and as she does so she is whistling.
I’ve been hearing a mating call, but when i go in my room to c who is doing it, it all goes quiet. i set up a nest box because if they had mated i didn’t want them to lay eggs on the floor of the cage. My “female” was the one that was chewing on the door and entering first. And today i saw my “male” chewing a little bit and then entering for a moment. Then about 10 minutes later my “male” went over to me “female” and stuck his tail up in the air. His butt got all fluffy but my other bird just tried to preen his tail…. Now, i know who’s been whistling the mating song. Its my “female”!!!!
So ya, im really confused. Can any one help me?
Ya they r really confusing, lol. What i meant about u can feel them is that there r actuall indents in the feather. I didnt know if that meant any thing. lol.
A lady in my chirch says that they r both male….she own birds but none if them r cockatiels so I don’t think she would know for sure…

PLEASE HELP! Are these budgies ready to breed?

i’ve had a male and female budgie for over a year. Who i feel are clearly bonded because they always feed each other, preen, and the male is always singing to the female. Lately they have been flying around the cage more and when i play budgie sounds ( don’t want to get more budgies to encourage them) the male sings and gets excited. The male has been rubbing his head and beak to his favorite perch and the female as been knawing on it. I’ve been feeding them enriched bird seed with vegies mixed in. As well as fresh fruits, vegies, and crushed egg and of course a cuttle bone. I have a nesting box lightly dusted with aspen shaving as well as some aspen shavings in a container by a perch to encourage the female to put it in the box. I also have some baby bird hand feeding formula just in case. They are in my bathroom where they get a lot of light and the lest amount of interaction from us, my cat, and dogs as they will ever be able to get. I did have to move them there so i don’t know it that will of caused them stress and made them not breed is so how long until they do? I’ve done EVERYTHING to get them to breed and i’ve been trying for a week now. I’m not sure if they are “in season” I tried to get some pics but i couldn’t figure out how to get them up. So the male’s cere is a deep deep blue, while the females cere is crusty and darkish brown with white around the nostrils. I know that when the females cere is deep brown they are ready to breed but my female is also albino so that might change how it looks.
So i need to know if they are ready to breed and if what i’m doing is correct to help them breed. If there is anything else i can do to encourage them to breed it would help SO much!
PLEASE NO nonsense answers i’ve gone all over the interent and i really need some info. I know that they will breed in their own time but i want it to be as soon as possible. Thanks to those who answer!
They get plenty of noise in the bathroom because they are right by a window and can hear the birds outside.
Her cere has had white by the nostrils for about a week what does this mean? It doesn’t seem to be getting whiter but her entire cere is darker than it was a few weeks ago. PLEASE HELP i need info!
Yes i’m positve they are male and female and i’ve had them for over a year the males stipes on his head are gone.

My love birds have layed two eggs – one in its nesting box and the second one outside of it. What should I do?

Would it best to leave the egg outside of the nesting box or move it into it. If so, how can I do this safely? Also, the female has been sitting on this egg and left the other one inside its nesting box after already sitting it. Could it die if left unattended?
