i have been looking all over the websites and i think its a boy and a girl here’s a video the first bird the blue it above the beak is dark blue and the other bird is a Lite-ishy blue and i was kinda hoping that IF they are boy and girl tell me all you can about how they can have babies ? what Size cadge i need and how big should the nesting box be? and where can i get one or what could i use for one

I’m buying my first bird this Christmas (a budgie), so I have plenty of time to prepare. However, I’m a little confused. Should I purchase one or a pair? My new budgie book says just one is an “incomplete bird” and needs a friend to thrive. Is this true, or will they just ignore me? Will I still be able to tame them both? Also, will a male and female still breed if I don’t give them a nest box? I’m so confused!!

Our family just adopted our first bird – a Parrotlet. What is the best way to socialize and train this new addition to our family? He is almost 6 weeks old. I am still hand feeding him some. He is starting to eat Petamine and I have given him some fresh foods. My questions are:
–How likely are these birds to talk? Do you know of one that says many words or phrases?
–How much should I allow my parrotlet to be out of his cage, and what is the best way to handle him?
–How different is this species from a budgie or similar bird?
I did a lot of research before choosing a bird, but the information for Parrotlet’s seems limited. All the websites I have found say virtually the same thing. Anyone with any experience that they can share, would be greatly appreciated!!
