The fledglings look like they’re almost ready to leave the nest. Mother & father are still feeding them. Will they be able to rise 12″ to get out from inside their nest? Should I assist or let nature take it’s course?

I have western bluebirds that have left their nest box. The parent birds are still very protective of the nest box whenever I get close to it even though it’s empty. I’m assuming that the fledglings must still be close by. There are quite a few large black crows hanging around my yard. Do they eat baby birds?
