Outside on my porch a bird made a nest in a flower pot. It has been there for about 2 weeks. Well this morning i found the nest scattered out on the ground about 2 feet away from where it was, and I looked through the nest remains, and i found nothing. I looked through it about 5 hours later and i found little tiny birds on the ground alive. The birds were about the size of a quarter, and had some feathers on it. also their moth And i dont know what to do. Right now its in a shoe box (the top open) and a light on it. I really dont know what to do…
Please help.
In my brothers yard there’s a couple of morning doves that nest in a flower box. Last year a skunk ate the eggs right after the birds hatched. We were all so mad because we named them & every thing. How do we keep them safe this year.
Just curious as to why. I’m guessing it’s the
the birds that hatched there the summer before. It
really is cute seeing them fly
I don’t know what they are…
they are small and brown.
I live in New York City (Northern Manhattan) and I planted some tomato’s in a large flower pot and put it on my fire escape. They sprouted and were growing strong but one day I caught this group of black birds with yellowish dots and a yellowish pointy beak eating my crop. They have a nest inside an electrical box under the 1st floor fire escape (I live on the 2nd floor). They look like crows but just smaller and the sparrows and pigeons don’t even mess with them. What are these birds? Is anyone familiar with them. I’ve always seen them but never thought about what they are until they robbed me of my plants. On the internet the only birds that they look like are Grackles but they don’t have a purplish head.
YESSS!!! Its the the European Starling I just a pic of one. Thanks!!!

Today at work my friend told me he found a bird in the parking lot and he put it into one of the flower boxes hanging off of the restaurant. I went over to see it and i felt bad, he was really small and had no feathers and his eyes werent even open yet. So before i left today i got a paper cup and lined it with paper towel and took the bird out of the flower box and brought it home. When i examed it for a little bit i noticed it’s skin is see through, so i have a few questions:
First off, what should I do with it, i dont want it to die.
If i find a birds nest around my house, should I put the bird there.
PS. I looked around and there is no bird’s nest in site of my work

then click the link in her question because the two birds are practically identical.
