I found an injured robin the other day. It doesn’t appear to be able to fly and has an injured foot.?

I’ve been feeding it wet cat food. It’s foot keeps bleeding so I’ve been using that powdwe to stop the bleeding. What else should I be doing? How do I find someone who knows what they’re doing, that can help this bird.

Bird’s nest fell! Moved it a foot away but parents can’t find it?

Any suggestions on what to do? Was cleaning up the yard and a bird’s nest was dislocated so we had to move it. The baby birds aren’t old enough to chirp so the parents are flying all around looking for their babies but can’t find them. Should we feed the birds?
Guess it’s important to say we haven’t touched it with our bare hands – wore gloves the whole time. Hopefully the parents won’t reject them! And they are red robins, if that is helpful.

I found a baby blue jay that will flutter to almost a foot.?

I found him about 20 minites ago, he is healthy, easy to handle.
No problems, just got knocked out of a tree by wind.

What to feed him and how?
Will this little bird eat on his own?

Thank you!
Ok, I just turned him over and he has a bloody chest. He is in a laundry basket and very calm.
So, in the morning he is going to the wildlife vet.

Breeding My Parakeets?

Hello, I am trying to breed my parakeets but the female (Sunbeam) won’t let the male (Angel) mate her. He’s tried about ten times to day, and he tries to mount her from behind, and puts his foot on her, as if he’s kicking her. So I know he’s ready to mate. She is a year, and so is Angel. Will she give in and be mated?

I have taken them to a Avian vet twice this week. Once for genetic problems, and the second time for a body exam to make sure Sunbeam will be okay when she has the eggs inside of her, and when she lays them. And Angel had to get his nails clipped, that’s all. The Avian vet said that they were good for breeding, and he gave me a hand-feeding formula for the parakeet chicks in case I choose to hand-rear them.

He gave me several books on breeding parakeets, hand-feeding, and raising the chicks. I read all three and I know about the health issues, deformations, and mutilation from the parents. I know that I need a nesting box, that I’m going to buy today, and the female needs calcium, I know all that. I know plenty about parakeets.

My Avian vet gave me some sort of calcium supplement to mix with her food, and powder calcium supplement to mix with her water. He said that I should feed her plenty of fruits and vegetables.

As for the homes, I have friends lined up that will give them good homes, and they know how to care for them. And yes, i do understand birds die everyday, I work at an animal shelter, so I know that. But I want to breed them, and I take care of birds and other aerial animals every other day, so I think I’m good with the whole animal shelter thing.

The breeder that I got her from, has had one huge aviary, and there was many females and males there. Also, I do have another female named Highlighter, which likes to play with Sunbeam. I understand stress, but the vet says she’s perfectly fine, she isn’t stressed, doesn’t pluck her feathers out, she’s a little hyper, but still, he said that she’s a very serene bird.

I am responsible enough to breed them, and I’m ready for it. A kid doesn’t ask its parents if can breed bird without the child being responsible and the parents say yes. I don’t think that happens. Also, if I do breed them, and the parents mutilate/neglect them, I will be home schooled so I can feed them every hour or so. My Aunt works at the veterinary clinic so we get a discount, and I do have enough money to take them to the vet if anything happens.

Yes, I have a extremely strong passion for animals, I’m ready for this.

I’m just saying, because I’m just wanting to know if she will breed with him. Angel tries a lot, so will they be able to mate?

i need to rephrase my question?
