My dog was barking outside and would not stop! I went outside to look and it was a baby bird! Me and my mom put him in a box. He can’t fly yet but has feathers and hops around trying to fly. Soon he fell asleep in the box. My step-dad is going to be home soon and we are going to put him back in the nest. Do you think his mom may have left him? What things should we give him to keep him alive for a couple more hours?
I found a speckled brown and white egg on the ground. There was no nest in sight, so I’ve had it under a lamp and in a box with washcloths for about a day. I can’t tell if its alive or not. I turn it every few hours though. It would be helpful if i could get some advice on what i should do…Including if its alive…..

We live on a farm, although there are many outside predators. As far as we see in the very tall tree above, there is no nest (could be & its too high to see.) She has a little bit of fur on head and back of body, with the wings on side having a few feathers on it. It really doesn’t seem strong enough to attempt fledging, as its having alot of difficulty moving around, although then again, I am not its mother! lol I am afraid to put it back on the gravel drive or nearby for its parents, because there are MANY predators here. It will be eaten up quickly We have it in a box with hay and an abandon nest from last season. What do I do now? HELP! THank you!!!
i found two baby birds fall out of its nest in my backyard, so i tried to put them back but wasn’t able to. so i laid out a plastic box filled with newspaper, put them in it and set them outside away from the house. the mother comes to take care of them. then today one of the baby birds were ready to take on the real world and flew off, leaving the other one alone. i check the the bird that stayed. it seemed healthy and looked like it was ready to fly as well, but then i looked closer and saw that one of its wings weren’t growing right, so it couldn’t fly away. i’m not sure if it happened when it fell off of its nest or just a birth defect. i need some serious help of what to do. i am completely out of ideas on this one.

While I was walking my dog I found a baby squirrel laying on the sidewalk near a tree. My thought was it fell out of the tree and/or got attacked by a bird or something. He was bleeding slightly possibly by his neck or under his arm. My mom put him in a small carrier cage with water and bird seed. What else should I feed it (don’t know where to find acorns) and we are trying to find an animal rescue that won’t euthanize it. In your opinion wht is th ebest thing to do with the squirrel right now?

Okay, my dad and I were out cutting down trees and we took out a branch and there was four blue eggs in a nest. they all fell out and one cracked and out popped a small almost fully developed baby bird. What should I do. I have it in a shoe box and it is wrapped in a rag and it is being heated with a heat pad. I feed it every 30 minutes with small pieces of Earthworm and it chirps and responds to me.
