Wild bird feeding Oregon

these are some of the wild birds that come to feed in the spring. Gold finches, humming birds, etc. They are such a delight to watch and such beautiful songs. Hummingbird feeders, finch and black sunflower seeds.

Is it better to take your pet bird on vacation or leave him at home?

We are taking a week long vacation to the beach with another couple. We have a young (less than 1 year) gold capped conure. It will require traveling in the car for 7-8 hours, (1 way). I am not sure if it will be more stressful for the bird to take him with us, or if it would be more stressful for him to be away from us for a week. If we left him at home, my mom could come every day to feed him and spend a little time with him. Help!

hooray for National back yard bird feeding month-February

My own design

Took in rescues and now facing charges???(Lawyers answers preferably)?

My friend has a heart of gold. Whenever a stray cat comes around- she takes them in, feeds them and gets them vet care, Same with parrots. Well, recently, she had accumulated TOO MANY pets in her 4 bedroom house- and the ASPCA came into her house when she away and seized the animals alleging they were sick and abused.. ASPCA;s biggest b*tch was that the cats had fleas!! How many of our pets get fleas? But we risk imprisonment for it? The birds arrived with handicaps, and were plucking because they had nest boxes in the cages (breeding birds almost akways pluck themselves.. This happened two months ago and she wasnt charged with anything yet.. what do you think will happen to my friend??
