I have three sets of keets and I am going to breed them. . I have read allot on info and I recently ran across a guy talking about the fact that he does not and never has used a box. . .I have also heard of keets laying in food dishes, bottom of cages and other random places. . .
my question is
Has any one had a bird that layed eggs in a odd place OR does any one have experience in breeding without a nest box? if so I want to know where they layed and what materials do you use

It’s that stuff called Exact. The little guy is about 20 days old. I read that he should be fed about 4 times during the day about every 4 hours and roughly 8 cc’s. I know how to hand feed but I’m just afraid of overfeeding him! I had to take him away from his parents because they were attacking him to the point the poor thing was bleeding! It’s hard to believe how brutal my friendly little pair of cockatiels were! They still have 2 babies left with them. One is four weeks old and the other is probably about 23 days old at the most. When should they start eating on their own??? I read that it is usually about four weeks that they start. I got these little “O” shaped pellet things for transition over to adult food. Can they eat millet as well? Should I put water and in there with them? AND FINALLY,(SORRY, SO MANY QUESTIONS!) WHEN WILL THEY LEAVE THE NEST BOX AND WHEN CAN THEY GO TO NEW HOMES???? THANKS SO MUCH! This obviously my first clutch but I’m learning.

About a week ago I found 5 baby birds on the ground and the neighbor said their nest got knocked down from the light post when the guy was changing the light…four died and the one I have now is very healthy and looks almost fully grown- It has lost all of its fuzz and is about medium size–I think if it was still in the wild it would be learning to fly, but without its mother will it just start on its own or will it never learn??? I put it in a shoebox inside a big cardboard box with screen on the top so it could fly if it wanted to, but it hasnt yet-its been the box for about 3 or 4 days
Am I doing something wrong? I know I probably should have just taken it to the shelter when I first found it but I think its a little too late for that now…HELP!

So I called the wildlife people, and they basically said, the goose thing has adopted us, I don’t want to shoe it out of our yard,(thats what the wildlife guy said to do if it was being a pain, which it is not.) should I feed or water it? or capture it and bring it to a pond, what if it is someone’s pet? I have called the police, the wildlife, and the humane society,
The cable guy throw a nest to the floor with 5 baby birds, i picked them up and have them in a box but i don’t know what to feed them? i can’t believe he did that..
