how do i look after a wild bird i dont have an incubator but i have made a nest and box and it is kept warm daily, i candled it and ther is sumthink inside it, i have no idea how old the egg is but im going to be really confues wen and if it hatches!!

well saturday i went to the sale barn and bought a broody turken she cam with 4 eggs brown ok 6 brokme during transport i got home i had some in the incubator i but 4 peeping eggs under her when i went to smoke and check on the peeping eggs she still sitting i look at her she rasied up and she sput her head down to the nest box i put her in and she started pecking the peeping birds then she steped on the egg that she pecked and i removed the other peeping eggs and she steepted on the on and smashed it and ate it then she satred to peck the baby and eat the baby yolk off the babys stomach . why did she smash the eggs and peck the baby to death after she steped on the egg i moe the baby out after she steped on egg and put baby in incubator and it died this moring why did she do that she is a sitting breed but she pecked and steped on one of the peeping eggs than ate the eggs whats up. rember i just brought her home from sale barn when i did that she would not eat the food i gave here eit
Yesterday, I found a bird’s egg by my neighbor’s yard. It was on the ground with no nest nearby. I set up a crude incubator to help keep it warm. I put the egg in a shoe box with some blankets and am heating it with one 60 watt and 40 watt bulb. They are at least 5 inches away from the egg. I contacted my local humane society and was told that I can bring it in tomorrow (which I plan on doing). Can you inform me on what else I should be (or shouldn’t be doing)? Thanks
Yesterday i found a nest of baby mocking birds and i watched them and as the mom was coming back a cat jumped up and killed her.so i took the nest down and have them in a improvised incubator (dont worry it works just fine and i keep the eggs at 87-90 degrees) and they could hatch any day now
how do i feed them and how often. do i keep them in the incubator. i know what they eat though. please help me!!!!????

we had a birds nest in the back yard. but our cat scared it away. there was one egg in the nest and ive created a sort of incubator for it(a cardboard box,some cottton wool and a light bulb) but the egg was left for a few hours and im just wondering how long it could survive without heat from its mother.
any help would be much appreciated

My cockateil started laying eggs. Her and Dad were sitting. Mom laid egg #5 and then died. (Egg Binding problems?) Have Exact to feed and syringe etc. How can I make an Incubator and Brooder or is there another way I can help out Dad? Grandma gave me the birds and she thought they were not a mated pair. Surprise!
So i was incubating a robin egg with a home made incubator. I thought it would take 2 weeks to hatch because i bred parakeets and it took long. So because it was home made the humidity was wrong. Which because of that i had to peck the bird out of the egg because its skin was stuck to the shell. It was bleeding becuase of its butt or some thing. But now its OK and living. After i pecked it out and it was completely out of the shell i waited 1 hours until its first feeding Subscribe to see me hand feeding it, it growing up day after day, and the sparrow egg i have hatching!
