Thinking of getting a Bearded Dragon?

I am thinking of getting a bearded dragon. I have had alot of pets (dogs, cats, birds, rodents…etc.) over the years and am fairly experienced at keeping pets, but I have never had a lizard of any kind. I was told a Beardie was a good first lizard. I need advise on feeding and especially housing. Are crickets better then worms? What is the best housing? I was looking up habitats on petstore sites, but I don’t know what’s better, the aquariums, or the screened cages. It seems like the airflow in the screen cages wouls be better, but I am worried the lizard will damage it and escape, and one reviewer on one site said he had problems with CRICKETS eating the screens! Also, what is more important to the Beardie, floor space to strech out, or head space to climb up (a long enclosure or a high enclosure)? If you know a good website to order good habitats from that would be apreciated! ThanX.

my bird has all the symptoms of she may be pregnant but i never saw my birds mate and she has been sitting at the bottom of the cage with her butt puffed out a little so i will buy a nesting box for her but what kind of material is needed?

we chopped down a tree and when the tree came down, a birds nest that we didnt know about came down too?

we found 2 baby birds (i dont know what kind) in their nest, i dont think the mother will return, i dont want it to die, what can i do, we put them in a new tree and they’re there now, i know you’re not supposed to touch the bird or the nest cuz the mom won’t come or something but, what do i do , what do i feed it, how do i keep it warm

I found a baby bird and it’s been doing fine for half a day but I still feel like I need help?

By the way it’s doing fine in my house and I’ve been feeding it bread dipped in milk. I don’t know what kind of bird it is but now it barely has feathers so I don’t think it was fledging. I would have let the parents have more time to look for the baby (since the was no birds flying around in the area) but there was a storm coming up and I took it in when I felt rain drops. Also, heard giving it water was bad for a baby bird it that true and if it is good thing i didnt give it water

I found a baby sparrow in my parking lot…What kind of treatment should I give to it?

It was wet and cold. There are a bunch of trees out there and it’s very difficult to spot a nest, if there is one, so what I’ve decided so far is to keep it until it is strong enough to be by itself. I’m not a complete ignorant about the animal kingdom, but still I would like to get some more information from personal experiences about sparrows and how to pet them or just keep them alive. I have helped other birds before but not that small. I’m going to try to find the nest, or the mother. How to feed the bird would be a good start. Thanks and please answer this if you really know what you are talking about, if not, go make some points somewhere else.
Hello?!!! found it in a parking lot?!! There is a car parked right now where I found it. Can it fly or whatever…didn’t seem to because it was just there all wet and it didn’t even try to fly away. As far as I know, some birds can’t fly with their feathers wet…and it’s illegal…ok …what are they going to do? give me a fine or put me in jail cause I was trying to help an animal? screw that!!
Fuck that bird!! I killed it!! because I found out that the bird had a cut on its back and when I put some Scilocaine to mitigate the pain, maggots started to crawl out the wound!!! f’ing disgusting!! so I chopped its head off to end its pain!! Now I want to fumigate the whole house!! I’m so grossed out, I don’t even want to sleep in my room!!

what species of bird is this? and what should i do with it?

the tx. st. aquarium wont return my calls. i dont know what kind of bird this is. out of three baby birds, two have already died! i just wish i knew what to do. i’m giving her formula and letting her suck the water droplets from a sterile toothbrush ( i read thsi tip online) but what else should i do? she chirps, she bobs her head when she eats. her crop gets full and i dont feed her the special bird formula (for all birds it says) until it’s empty. but she chirps loudly when she wants to eat. but i have no idea when to introduce seeds, or how to keep her alive! please help!

What kind of birds do you think I will get in my bird boxes?

OK… You might get a bit bored reading all of this but…

Here goes..

I put my bird boxes up in mid – august. I have one near the eaves (facing east)
One half open fronted one on my kitchen extension ( east)
On on the back fence (west)
One in the hedge (south)

I was just wondering what type of birds I might get in them.

I have 2 cats but I am sure they cant get into them. :D

Blue tits
House sparrows
Starlings
Great tits
Blackbirds
And my Grandma lives down the road and she says she occasionally gets a coal tit in the garden.

I already have an old blackbird nest in the hedge.
