My parakeet just laid an egg!?

I found out today that my parakeet had an egg. I came home and there was an egg that was cracked, but just an hour ago she laid another! We took it out of the cage because she wasn’t laying on it and placed it under a lamp. I have two birds, we orginally thought that we had two females, guess not! We checked the egg and it appears to be fertilized. I have a few questions. What temperature should I keep the egg at? What foods should I be feeding to my parakeet? What type of nesting box should I get for my parakeet? Is there any way I can get my parakeets to go into the nesting box? Where should I place the nesting box? Thank you! :)

We found a baby bird- Help?!?

While my little sister was outside with her friend, she saw our cat carrying a baby bird in it’s mouth. She ran over to our cat, and made her let go. We put her in a box, with a heating lamp, and some bird food, we had from one of our previous birds. It doesn’t seemed to be damaged it can run, and has all it’s feathers, and it’s eyes are open. Here’s a small picture of it:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh144/kelly_guzzetta/babybirdhelp.jpg (Sorry, my friend’s phone takes small images) My friend and I went outside, and were digging for worms, to try and get it to eat, ’cause I don’t think it’ll eat the bird food. But we didn’t find any. We can’t bring it to a wildlife rehab center, or whatever; because we live in a super small city, and I don’t think there are any near. We also, can’t put it back into it’s nest, we don’t know where it is, our cat could’ve had it in her mouth for a long time. Before we start looking for where it could be, is there anything we could do, to try to keep it alive as long as possible?
Thanks.

I found two baby birds outside?

I found two baby birds outside. I’m guessing they blew out of their nest because it was really windy. I couldn’t find their nest so I took them home so I could take care of them. I bought worms, their in a box, and I have a lamp over them for heat. How long until they are old enough to fly? Do you have any other advice for me? I don’t know much about birds. I don’t even know what kind they are.

What do I do with bird egg I found?

So I went outside today and I saw two little blue brown-speckled eggs cracked open on the grass. One was just a shell the other had yolk pouring out. Then I found one that seems in tact. I put some grass in a box and put the egg in. The I put that under a lamp. What do I do now? I did some research saying it could be dead already and that I have to keep turning the egg so the embryo doesn’t stick to the egg. I saw a nest it must have fallen out of but it’s too high up for me to reach and theres wasps in there so I’m not going near it.

Anyone know how to care for bird eggs? What do I do if it hatches?
