what to give a baby pigeon that cant fly and has no mother?

well where i live there are these pillars that birds nest on and every year we see a mother bird and its babies. some reason this year one of the babies hatched and fell from the pillar in front of my apt. and neighbors (who don’t speak english) put it in a box with leaves, a bowl of water and rice at the bottom of the bowl. ?:(
i understand there customs are different from us american (they are indian) but I’m not sure what i should do, if i can help in any way, if i could buy fish bate for the bird or something.I’m very concerned because the box just sits outside the pillar it first fell off of.

if you have any info on it please share as soon as possible I’m not sure how much longer it can take being in a box without proper care and food

I just found wild Baby Bird?

A baby bird was just lying in our driveway. It must be from a nest somewhere in our yard that is up so high that we cannot see it. I want the bird to be able to go back to his mom, so what should I do? I was going to make a little box with grass and leaves and tissue paper etc and leave that on top of our car overnight, so coyotes cannot reach him, but his mom can find him and bring him back to the nest. What would you do?
The bird is just a normal bird that lives in our yard. My dad picked him up to have him fly, and he flew in the air for a second and then fell to the ground. He has feathers so he isn’t to young
is it worth calling a wildlife rehabilitation center or my town vet?

Lovebird- Poisonous Leaves?

Hello I recently bought a new lovebird, to breed with my other bird and was wondering if any leaves are poisonous to them. Thanks help would be appreciated.
Also i put them both in the nesting box and one stays inside (i think its because its scared) whilst the other sometimes comes out to have a look around.Should I be worried. Thanks

My Cockatiels mostly eat seeds. When their 5 eggs hatch will that be okay for the babies? Can I touch the eggs?

My female didn’t lay her eggs in the nesting box, she did so on the bottom of the cage. Both mom and dad are attending to the eggs. When I got the birds a year ago (already a year old) they were only eating seeds. I got them to eat now a little dandelions leaves and spinach leaves and sometimes a little bran cereal. Will this be suffitiant for the baby birds. Also can I touch the eggs? Will the birds still sit on them If I touch them. And when the eggs hatch will I be able to handle them.

I found a baby bird on the ground it fall out of its nest. What do i do?

My sister and I found a baby bird on the ground in the middle of the yard. There were only very high branches above us. We give the baby bird a bug and a grub and also some water out of a syringe. Our neighbor works with animals and she told us once before that if you touch a bird its mother WILL come back for it. We put the bird in a shoe box with some leaves and grass then we put the baby bird in some shrubs to wait for its mother but if the mother does not come back we would not know the correct food to feed it. How can we kept this baby bird alive?

My son found a little baby bird yesterday?

He found it on the ground yesterday when he was riding his go-cart. He looked around to see if he oculd find his mom or atleast a bird nest anywhere, but no luck. He has him in a box with some leaves, straw and some popcorn. He seems to be pretty healthy but just can’t fly right now. Any suggestions on care for this bird until he can fly? and what to feed it. Thanks!
