Just adopted 2 sugar gliders!! need help please!!!!!?

My husband and I just adopted 2 cute little sugar gliders! One girl and one boy, they are almost a year old. They came from below standard living conditions, they’re cage was a very tiny little bird cage and they were never really taken out. They were only fed quiko sugar glider food and thats about it. Even though they werent played with they are somewhat tame and eat fruit out of our hands and don’t crab too much. I just wanted to ask the experianced glider mommy and dadys out there afew questions;
1.The cage smells awful!Theyre poo is caked to the side of the cage, we can’t seem to get it off.Whats a safe way to clean it?
2.Is the quicko food ok?What else should we feed them, when and how much?
3.We had them out of their cage last night and they would climb on our hands and bite us.They even drew blood on my thumb. How do we bond w/older gliders and will they always bite people they don’t know?
4.What do u recomend as a cage liner? They were using kitty liter.
Thanks!!

I have a baby Parakeet. About 10 weeks old. He will step up but will not stay on my finger.?

How do I train him to stay on my finger? I feed him mullet when he does what I want him to do. If I take him in the bathroom where he has no choice, he will stay on my finger and he likes to look at himself in the mirror. As soon as I leave the room OFF he goes. I am gone at work all day. I know he is happy because he squeeks and chirps alot. What can I do to make him not be afraid of me? I love my little bird and I don’t want him to be afraid of me.
wings are cliped and I leave cage door open so he can explore..This is his home too….
I leave his cage door open and he knows how to get out and go in…He will come out on his own..He trusts me more then my friend….He knows that I wont hurt him but he is still cautious…Maybe I am expecting too much too soon…I bird sit much larger birds like Parrots and Macaws..but parakeets are just as smart…..Most of the birds I am used to are already trained and 10 yrs old or more…..I dond want to scare him….He is so cute and I want to be his best friend.

What do I do with this little bird?

A bird fell out of its nest in our back yard and my little sister wanted to save it… so here we are. I did this myself when I was her age (8-years-old), but I seem to have forgotten what to feed it and how to keep it safe and healthy. Right now it’s in a little shoe box, and is an awfully trusting little thing (it came to me when I went to get it in the back yard – no obnoxious chirping or chasing around involved)

long story short – I just need some advice on the best thing to do for it. What/how do I feed and water it? How do I help it to fly? (so we can let it go when it is strong enough) and is there anything else I should know?

Here is a picture of it: http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa318/Avelais/LittleBird.jpg?t=1210728630

I don’t know what type it is. Thanks!

does anyone know how to discourage a peregrine falcon from the backyard? We feed squirrels and birds daily.?

sighted two days in a row above our bird feeder. Yesterday he killed and ate a little bird right there on our fence. Have been told should feel honored to have actually seen that, but would like to discourage it

How do i care for this little bird?

My friend and i were going home from a store and we saw a dead baby bird, and then she saw another one we thought it was dead, too, but then it moved. She wanted to just leave it there and let it die, which may have been a good idea, but the other was dead, it was hot out, and flies and bugs were swarming all around it, so i picked it up, and took it home. I have pet birds, but those arent the same as a wild baby bird, and i know it wouldnt be good to give it their type of food. I put it in a nesting box, and in a separate cage and i need to know what to do with it. I dont know if it will survive, it is a large baby bird, and it has most of its feathers, but some are missing around its neck, i think it is getting better feathers. I got some water into it with a plastic syringe, just to keep it hydrated for now.
If anybody has any experience in raising wild baby birds, any info would be appreciated.
Thanks Allie, I think it is about 2-3 weeks old.

Bird Experts! Help Please?

So, In my Garage my dad found a box with a little bird nest in it. With some white down feathers, twigs, and some trash. The diameter of the HOLE of the Nest was, eh, about 8cm. The nest itself, about Diameter 14cm. And in a different box nearby there were 3 little eggs. They are whiteish Pink, with reddish brown speckles on it. They have a length of 1.4cm. and with of 1.1cm. Tiny. I researched a bit and found out it was probably a House Wren, who’s eggs and Nest it was. I live in The north west. And I’m pretty sure the nest and Eggs are abandoned. There was a cat who lived in the garage, and Who knows what happened.
So I was wondering, We have an incubator, and If anyone knew what the humidity should be, temperature, and how long to incubate them for! Or I we should even try to hatch them at all.
Oh and what the babies eat? And information you would need to know to raise these birds until they’re good enough to go in the open. We raised Turkeys before(: Thanks so much If you have any helpful information!

HELP – - What do I feed a little bird?

I found a little bird i the middle of my parking lot, he has feathers but can’t fly. I left him out for a while and he was still there so I brought him in for the night because it is cold out and I didn’t want him to get hit.

I don’t plan on keeping him, but I made him a little box with a makeshift nest, some twigs, and some cozy stuff. Is there anything I can do to feed him? And what can I feed him?
