anyone know anything about racoons?……………………?

…………..my folks have been feeding stray cats in their backyard for years, ocassionally birds would rush in,grab some pieces, then take off.And fast too; cats, you know?lol.
But out of nowhere a racoon(we think only the one) started eating the cat food too.And this is in the city also, not arural area.Just wondered if anyone knew things about them. And would they try to harm the cats?

Feeding pet birds eggs that they layed?

I have read over and over again that it is good for them, calicium and all.. i give them fresh eggs almost every day, shells and all, like it has been suggested and the totally love it.. so what i am doing different, is i am using the eggs that they lay to feed them, Farm fresh eggs , organic, happy birds.. anyways, is that wrong lol? they are zebra finches and i have 5 laying females, and i do not want babies so i take the eggs out anyway, just put them in a litte cup, mash them up shells and all , microwave for 15 seconds, stir micro 3 more seconds, blew on it and bam they are alllll over me eating and fighting over it..
You see if i buy a 12 pack they will go bad, my little birds can’t eat That much.. and they like em fried moreso than hardboiled lol Thanks

My pair o’ keets?

If I have a nest for them as well as a plush bird bed…will they mate? I have a male and a female and they look like they could be ready to mate…the female did like this dance (looked like those bird mating dances ive seen on animal planet..lol) and the birds have been very interested in the nest. Are those two things enough or is a bird box a must???

What do i do now? Any bird breeders that can help me????

I have 2 lovebirds a male and a female, we moved them into there new avery today, They seem happy and flying around and screeching there heads off lol.
We want to breed them so they have a nest box, plenty of variety of foods such as, carrot, broccoli, Banana, Apple, mixed seeds, and Multigrain bread.
The only problem is that the nesting box is on the bottom of the avery, It’s not a very big avery but it’s big enough for the 2 of them, so should that be a problem?
Will they still breed in the nesting box?
And how can I increase the chances?
Cause we have only had them for afew days will they begin to breed straight away or will it take some time?

how to make my love birds stop breeding and whats the diffrence….?

My love birds are really in love lol. anyway they have a 6 week old baby that i havent pulled for hand feeding, Im not allowing more that 8 hours of light, and i have pulled the nest box. However they are really in love.I want her to take a rest. But dont know what else to do. And since i pulled the nest box what is the difference between her laying eggs on the cage floor, and in the nest box. isnt it still the same wear and tear on her body.I know im supposed to let her sit on the floor eggs untill she gives up then Ill take the eggs and she will do it all over again. So would it be better for me to put the box back in. I thought leaving the chic in the cage would put off breeding for a while. boy was i wrong.. Help.
