yellow maggots in a beehive?

ok,during the last 3 months we have had bees nesting in our bird box and this last week they have seemed to of disappeared,so out of curiosity we thought would go and take it down and have a look inside,as we started to get inside we noticed maggot looking creatures crawling around inside the box, but they were bright yellow unlike any maggot ive ever seen, so we need to know if they are bee larvae or maggots ,thanks for the help ,martin

What do I do with this bird I saved from my cat?

My cat came over the fence with a bird in his mouth and I instantly cryed and shouted my mother to come and get it off of him and she did but the bird wouldn’t move for a minute and the it ran, we finaly caught it and put it in a big box, we took a closer look at it and saw that it was a baby that couldn’t yet fly. so my cat birdnapped it from it’s nest. It is now in a big box outside with a cage over it so nothing could get in to it. It’s mother came a couple of times and we took the cage of and then the mother went in with a worm and came out without it so it had been feeding it.

but now I don’t know what to do with it because if i let it go some cat like mine is going to find it again because it can’t fly yet…
btw My cat didn’t hurt it, we caught him in time, the bird is very active and keen to get out but i cant let him go because he wont be able to get back into a tree?

please help x

Why do you think My baby rainbow lorikeet died in the nest?

I have a bonded breeding pair of rainbow lorrikeets, and just yesturday discovered that they had a baby that looked a day or 2 old and also there is an egg in there as well, my partner took the box out of the aviary so we could see the baby and determine age, as its the only way for us to know if our birds have babies and thats to remove the box, after we did this we had the box inside for about 10 mins and put the box back into the aviary, this afternoon i went to check if the new egg had hatched and Baby was dead, egg hasnt hatched, does anyone know why baby would have died? also mum and dad birds were being noisy inside the box after we put the box back in but it doesent look as though the baby was harmed in anyway by the look of its body.
im worried that if and when this new egg hatches if the baby will be ok im new at this and need advise.

What are these bugs hatching in my bird feed?

I had noticed these little black things on my floor and after a few days took a close look to find they had legs. Little round looking bugs with small legs and move very slowly. They also have some kind of speckeling on them. I found they were hatching out of a bag of bird food. Can anyone help my identify this insect?
