At first she laid two eggs that I found at the bottom of the cage. So I went to the store and bought a wooden nest box. I put it inside their cage. We put some nesting material in the box and the 2 eggs. After that, we never saw the mom bird. The dad bird is always hanging out right outside the nesting box. Anyway, yesterday I took a peek inside the nest box and found her sitting on 6 eggs!! I put the nesting box in her cage about 2 weeks ago. What do I do now?
When will they hatch (if they ever do)? If and when they hatch, how long will they stay in their nesting box? Can I clean their nesting box while they are in there or do I just leave it alone until they are weaned?
Also, do I need to keep my house warm for them or is it ok if I have the air conditioner on? Thanks.
