I found a baby bird on the ground it fall out of its nest. What do i do?

My sister and I found a baby bird on the ground in the middle of the yard. There were only very high branches above us. We give the baby bird a bug and a grub and also some water out of a syringe. Our neighbor works with animals and she told us once before that if you touch a bird its mother WILL come back for it. We put the bird in a shoe box with some leaves and grass then we put the baby bird in some shrubs to wait for its mother but if the mother does not come back we would not know the correct food to feed it. How can we kept this baby bird alive?

I found a baby bird???

I was on a bike ride and then I see the poor little guy in the middle of the street. He is now in my house and he seems healthy and in great shape. Who should I contact? What should I feed him until then? Where should he stay? I have no idea where his nest is because he was found in the road.
Thanks!

Orphaned mice! What do i do?

Well, we were cleaning out the garage so it can be pressure washed and we came upon a nest of mice. We didn’t have any choice but to move them (they were smack dab in the middle of the garage under a box). Now I’m not sure what to do with them. I had two pet mice who recently passed away from old age so i just put the babies in the old enclosure (new bedding of course). I’m kind of hoping that after the garage is cleaned if it would be feasible to put them in a corner and hope their mom can find them. If not however, I’m not sure what to do, there aren’t any wildlife rehabilitators or pet stores (besides Petsmart) nearby. I had to transport orphaned pinkie opossums once so i know to keep them in the dark (threw a towel over the enclosure) and to keep them warm in the meantime. They are pinkies but are starting to get fur (just barely). So i need advice on what’s best to do for them as i know time is of the essence. If worst comes to worst the local vet will euthanize them to keep them from suffering (has done so for injured birds before) although i hope that isn’t what needs to happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How often should a baby bird be feed? Its probably only a few days old?

I found him in the middle of the street..with no trees or birds around so i’m trying to care for him myself. I already have the baby bird feeding formula…but how often?

HELP – - What do I feed a little bird?

I found a little bird i the middle of my parking lot, he has feathers but can’t fly. I left him out for a while and he was still there so I brought him in for the night because it is cold out and I didn’t want him to get hit.

I don’t plan on keeping him, but I made him a little box with a makeshift nest, some twigs, and some cozy stuff. Is there anything I can do to feed him? And what can I feed him?

How do i take care of this bird that i found in the middle of the street?

i found a bird in the middle of the street today, and it cant fly and moves very little. It doesn’t look like it could’ve fallen from a nest because there were no trees from which it could’ve fallen from in the area. i have no idea what kind of bird it is, or how to help he/she. So far ive put it in a box with a towell and some birdseed, but i am at a loss as to how im supposed to give it water. any advice on what i should do?
Abandoned Fledglings

The procedure differs slightly for a fledgling bird. Fledglings are often mistaken for birds that are injured or unable to fly when, on the contrary, they’re actually learning how to fly. A fledgling will hop out of the nest to perch on surrounding branches, or flutter to the ground, where it will spend several days to several weeks being taught by the parents how to pick up seeds or catch insects. A parent bird will actually guide the fledgling into bushes during the night to hide it from predators. If you find a fledgling in a high-traffic area such as a sidewalk or a street, move it into the cover of some nearby bushes. Otherwise, leave the bird where you found it.

i think this is what im going to do with it, sometime in the morning, becuase it to dark to do it right now

is it ok to replace nesting materials for a bird with newspaper?

our gouldians are going to have an egg. we built them a nesting box and put a small cardboard bowl in the middle so the eggs won’t roll aways. but they started to rip the neewpaper at the bottom and put it inside the box. is it safe for them???
