Would it be okay to feed hamsters bird seed mix?

Umm…yeah. Just wonderin’…

Any macaw bird experts out there I need HELP I have a 6 or 5 year old male blue and gold macaw mix with?

very little military . I´ve had him for 3 years already he was given to me by some one else who loved him she used to hug him, kiss him, pet him, talk sweet to him, but never feed him or gave him watwr. The owner knows we have a dog and 4 cockatiels and 2 cats they are all well feed and well taken care of, so the owner gave us the bird, knowing she couldn´t care for him properly. Here is the PROBLEM the first two years he was ok with us my dad even made him a perch that wouldn´t be above our head, but I will admit we dont like to hold the animals a lot just ocasionally. About a year ago the owner came to visit the bird was happy I gess he would make the pupils of his eyes really small, the old owner was kissing him and all and out of the blue he bit me. Ever since he´s been agressive, we cant even get him out of the cage because he´ll try to atack us he´s also very jelous of the other pets. What can i do to have the old sweet loving bird I used to have

Bird only eats seeds, not pellets- and picks certain seeds!?

Hello! I have a baby green-cheek who is a few months old. I’ve tried feeding him pellets and seeds, but he will only eat seeds and is not touching the pellets. To make it worse, he is eating only certain seeds (white looking ones) out of the seed mix I give him! How do I get him to start eating pellets?

I was watching the show “The Pet Shop with Marc Morrone” about feeding birds, and he suggested that if your birds won’t eat seed, to leave the pellets in all day and when you come home to give them 1 hour to eat all the seeds they want, then take it away. I have been doing that but I’m not sure if it’s working. I am finding pellets on the floor of the cage but I don’t think he’s eating them. He is very picky!

My cockatiels laid 7 eggs and was wondering if someone could answer some questions?

I have been researching a lot from books and the internet but they don’t always answer everything. For instance, my birds first laid an egg on the cage floor because I didn’t have a nest box. I read that if you get it in a box right away that it may still hatch. I did do this. Also, two of the eggs had slight cracks and I covered them with light nail polish and a topcoat nail polish and let it dry. The birds DID NOT reject those eggs. Could they still hatch? I had read that advice in a book and on the internet. I think if I see another though, I’m just going to leave it because they get so upset and protective when I go in the box. Is it completely normal for them to try to attack you when you even try to change their food and water? I have been giving them their normal Cockatiel mix of mostly seeds, Spray Millet (which they love), egg biscuits, cuttlebone, a fruit flavored mineral block with extra calcium!, and a special mix that is for nesting birds. Any advice? THANKS!
A few more things. I ran out of space. Why can’t they allow more space for questions??? My male is four and is a white face with lots of grey and my female is two and is also a white face but almost totally white. Will the babies most likely be white faced as well? Is it possible to hand-raise a couple and let Mom and Dad take care of the rest? How old should I start hand raising? I will research a lot about it before attempting, don’t worry. This is their first clutch (is that the right word?) so what are the odds of atleast a few making it? And if the babies make it, at what age do you sell them and what is a fair price (esp. for whitefaces which aren’t as common as greys which most people are used to)? I would love to get two more pairs of ‘tiels if all goes well and I can find a pet shop that’ll take the babies. I would esp. like a Lutino. What would be cool to pair a Lutino with? THANKS FOR ANSWERING AS MANY Q’S AS YOU COULD! Wish me and my ‘tiels luck!
