Preventing a Green-cheek from being a “one-person” bird?

I just got a baby Green-cheek conure who I interact with every day. My boyfriend met “Skeeter” this past weekend. Skeeter showed a mixture of indifference, curiosity, and some slight aggression towards him (he stepped onto my boyfriend’s hand, but would slowly bite down and harder). My boyfriend also took some millet and started feeding it to him, and Skeeter’s feathers were fluffy while he was eating it.

My boyfriend will be coming over every weekend, and will be moving into my place in early September. He wants the bird to like him and to bond with him as well. Any tips on preventing Skeeter from being a one-person bird and just choosing me as a favorite person? Will it help if my boyfriend feeds him treats, and does the fluffiness mean Skeeter is happy?
Hi everyone! Thanks for all of the great answers- they were all very helpful! The great news is it’s only the second weekend of them seeing each other, and as of today Skeeter seems to love my boyfriend- following him, snuggling him, calling to him, etc. I guess I’ll continue to see how their relationship progresses. Thanks again for all the help! :D

I have questions, my baby grey comes home tomorrow? I was told to keep her in her cage the first day. I disag

Also, I was told the she should be in her cage most of the day, 20 min. out in the morn, 20 in the afternoon and a 20 min. before bed. Anymore than that will cause her to have cage issues. Do you believe that? She has a pellet mixture (Zieglers & Higgins pellets) for the day, veggie mix for night. What do you think of the diet? I was told I can give her some fresh veggies and a small piece of fruit each day. In the afternoon she can have a piece of spray millet. This is what she’s been eating. She still gets one syringe of baby food at night. I’d like to get her eating an all organic diet as described in Alicia McWatters, “A Guide to a Naturally Healthy Bird: Nutrition, Feeding, and Natural Healing Methods for Parrots.” Heard any good things about her approach? My baby grey has been off antibiotics since Monday. Should she see an avian Vet before bringing her home or should I give her some time to get acclimated to her new home first? I just want to do the best or her. Thanks

I live in central New York when do I stop feeding birds so they can migrate south?

I live in central New York and I feed lots of birds. I do know that some birds leave earlier than others but the birds here are a mixture of all kinds and I do not know one kind from another. My question is when do I stop feeding them so they can migrate south?
Thanks
Colleen
