It is very young, probably just hatched, has no feather, and can only move its little legs,neck and mouth.
Where can i place it? in a cardboard box with grass to resemble a nest? And what and how do i feed it?
we tried to give it an ant, with a eye dropper
Please give details! I want to save this creature! 
& also, how often do i feed it?
we just got a 6 week old ring neck, we thought it was just cause he was young and not very strong but now we have noticed that he is not using his right leg at all.. he doesnt grab with it or balance him self with it, he just drags it around.. he hasnt hurt it whilst being with us because he is kept in a box lined with towels to act as a nest for the next couple of weeks.. and when we get him out hes is well supervised, so we havnt seen him hurt him self.. has anyone hurd of any thing like this before??? we’ll obviously take him to a vet but just curious and thought i’d put it out there and ask.. thanks
ok first of all is it poible for a baby to be dis fromed by parents breeding with there mom or dad or brother or sis?my one babys wings are rely far down near its legs and it had a rely long neck and its legs look like they are the bent up the wrong way meaning its feet are pointed to the sky not to the ground like a normal bird. when its an adult and have to fend 4 itself will it die or will it stay in the nest and keep having he otheres feed it?i dont want to have to humanly kill it if it has a chance but i dont want it to suffer..so i gas it or leve it do do what is needed in nature…i would prefur to give it a fighing chance.
All my socity finches live togther along with 2 zebra i cant exacty tell the ok you breed with this one and this one if the want to **** there family they can i ant got money to seperate and i dont want to they all are a big faminly who would go insain if seperated…i cant take to vet the baby is only about 16 days old will wait till adult to see what happens …i will leave it alone and see what happens
baby love birds came out of nest box and wont straighten necks.Its been suggested to put them in a neck brace to force them to hold necks properly.
I cannot afford an avian veterinarian(very expensive), who told me that the neck problem is quite common( Ive never had it happen before) He had a cockatoo that had its head turned so that it was on its back, he said the neck brace fixed the problem in 6 weeks.
Lovebirds are considerably smaller, so that is why I am asking for someone with experience with lovebirds.
They are otherwise healthy.
If the birds are held, they will straighten their heads to almost normal. But when they are put back in the cage they automatically turn the heads to look up.
My bird is loosing feathers aroung the neck and middle of the head down to the beak. I want to know if it might be sick or nervenous. He has been thru alot with moving and we lost 2 birds already one was sick when it was born nothing catching and the other was found a home. If anyone could help us out it sure would be appreciated. Oh! one more we are feeding like five mealworms a day is this good for him.
I live in Oklahoma and I work at a pet store and a customer dropped off a baby blue jay and he has down feathers and some bigger feathers on his wings. Since we have Hand-Fed birds I am certified to hand-feed. i have been feeding him store bought baby bird formula and crickets. He has been eating really well and pooping good. He has a neck problem to where he cant keep his head straight but he is able to move it when he has an itch, so I know his neck isn’t broken. I need help to what blue jays eat and how often and how long to be hand-feeding him. If he lives he wont be able to go back into the wild because with all the other problems he is also blind in one eye! I have a dumb bird on my hands please someone give me advice.
